+Lellobeetle I can't reply to your comments for some reason. I use a butter knife to do the tacties, you have to go through the molle, then back through the pouch and so on.
@Living Survival can you please do a review on the maxpedition
WARNING: PLEASE READ!!!
I like maxpedition and all there bags but if you are looking to buy this bag, I might have a better one for you for the same price. The Maxpedition Lithvore is similar to the typhoon, it has two straps, and is comfortable, it looks less "tactical" and it is good for every day carry. It is from the new advanced gear research line and has more modern looks and materials, it can hold two nalgene water bottles on the two side water bottle pockets and it has two main compartments. One medium sized front compartment with organization features and one main big compartment that has clam shell opening, it is 17 liters and I believe it out performs the typhoon 2. It also has a tension strap on the bottom to strap a tent or jacket. All these great features and it's still small, you don't have to carry around a huge backpack when you can carry a small, up to date backpack!!! I strongly recommend looking into the maxpedition LITHVORE backpack.
I have this bag, and love it. Use it for my work bag / EDC. It's light weight, and is perfect for a GHB. Can ditch the work stuff and load up with items in my vehicle. Great bag, and yes you can fit a water bottle pouch on the left side. Get bag would recommend to anybody.
Good bag and kit. Good to see someone else that carries a old wool blanket. Thanks for sharing, Don
Finally. A backpack ideal for EDC. Small. Not planning to carry the kitchen sink.
Nice! I just picked up this bag for my E.D.C. work bag.I can't wait to fill it up!
That bag looks much smaller than I thought it was. Very nice kit. That pocket SAS book is a great book. I love mine.
very nice bag!full of items;all the important are covered!
That'd be a great BOB for someone who, for whatever reason, can't carry a huge amount, like a 10 year old or a very small woman, or perhaps even someone who has a bad back, but still wants to be able to carry a few things.
perfect size pack , great kit !
Thank you for this review! This is exactly what i was looking for, ordering it now, Thanks again. Great review!
Great video , thank you. I am going now to check out the personal survival kit video.
Nice setup man!
Looks great.
Suunto Core FTW !
Great review , thank you for sharing. I need something to go behind my pick up seat for a get home bag.
Good review! I'm sold.
Nice review! I alos have the Typhoon and use it as a small survival/get-home bag. It's been great so far.
Very nice kit. Compact and light weight with a good deal of gear. Thanks for sharing. atb
Maybe, if you've not done so before, you could give a close-up tutorial for the Maxpedition tac ties. I find them pretty difficult to use and I know it's probably because I'm not threading them correctly. Hope you'll consider this, LS. Thx. L.
Where would you suggest I go to order the expedition typonne survival bag. Shopping for the best price. Respectfully.
Great Video! Thank you
Great Video!
Love the review thank u, one question i have is im a big guy and sometimes struggle with strap lengths, is this bag good for big guys ?
It is a smaller bag and it rides higher so people with longer torso's tend to think it rides too high. The straps should adjust out pretty far. The Condor II (upcoming review) is a bit bigger but again the hip straps seem to ride high on taller torso people. For just bigger guys it should be ok.
I've got them all except the internal frame ones. They are always smaller than I thought they would be, but the quality is unsurpassed. Take Care/Stay Safe - Stan
Great video LS. Down with Schrade lol.
This is what I was looking for! The Falcon, Condor etc are too big for what I want to use it for. If i decide to buy this, I will use it for college, and when I go out somewhere, I can attach a separate EDC pouch or med kit on the side depending on what I need. This looks great. Only issue for me is the price.
Wow..that bag sure holds a lot of gear !! I like to organize my gear in Ziploc bags or HM cloth bags, especially with the Sunscreen/bug spray as I always get those liquid bottles leaking on me inside the bag. Gotta check out your PSK vid, for sure. cheers ;-)) enjoy your day hikes.
Nice backpack! However, is the material waterproof?
Really great video! My EDC doesn't have the mini survival book so i think i should get one of those.
How tall are you for pack size reference?

Okay so I am a 12 year old prepper due to me Living in Buffalo Ny with dangerous winters and high risk of nucular attack any ways would this make a good starting BOB?
Commander Xan for a smaller person yes I'd say in this pack size it is about the best it can get.
I noticed you have an earlier review on the Versipack. Are you finding the Typhoon to be a better option for EDC over the Versipack and would this bag be ok for a bigger guy?
I like them both, the versipack makes a really good extended EDC, something you could carry around daily especially when paired with the janus extension pouch. The Typhoon is a great day bag or get home pack and now comes with backpack straps. Love them both.
Larger yes, if you are really tall I would say think twice. The bags tend to ride high.
Hey man! I found your channel last night while looking for Vulture II reviews. I was going back and forth between the 5.11 72hr and Vulture II and your video helped me make up my mind. I ended up ordering the Vulture II earlier today. At any rate, I just wanted to say thanks and that I have subbed! .... On another note, I have watched some of your other videos and coincidentally, I also live in lower MI (Midland). I have been looking for a place to get in contact with local people who are also interested in bushcraft (I can't gen any of my friends interest). Any suggestions?
Awesome, glad it helped. I am in Lansing, we should meet up sometime. DO you have youtube?
That would be cool! My new pack should be here next week. I'll PM you once I get it. We should be able to find a trail or some woods somewhere between here and there. I have a youtube account but don't post videos or anything.
Cool little pack, thanks for sharing. Sub'd ya.
Very small and very expensive! Not for me.
It's not a clamshell design!!!! That is a deal breaker for me...bummer.
Just got my typhoon 2 to use for day hiking/bushcraft type stuff. It's a little smaller than I wanted but... I can live with it! I like the extra padded straps! Thanks for sharing. Keep the videos coming.
