    What this hobby boils down to is what the individual can afford in the current climate after paying the bills. What you want it for determines the former, and how serious you are and how long you stick at it. I have had several including minelab and garrett which were ridiculous prices and the most interesting finds I have were found with my first bounty hunter tracker which cost me £99. Don't go with recomendations go with your finances and interest.

      I agree, don’t live beyond your budget, minelab too expensive, same as xp , over the top , for 5 dollars worth of plastic and components, not too mention the 5 thousand up ⬆️ priced detectors, I’ve also had those,

      @FLY2KO Před 7 měsíci +2

      @@wilson42cc I've always felt that every detector I've owned was worth the money I paid for them, I've never wanted a minelab cause I knew Charles Garrett and Jimmy Sierra and met the Whites when I lived in Washington St, Minelab is Australian and I support America, but that said the 3030 is the best detector I've seen and messed with but I wouldn't buy one....

      Yes indeed. I had problems with minelab earlier on , little things , like turning off while using, False signals, like never really worried me that much, until I tried to bring it up with minelab, oh boy , did I gat a slap down, they definitely didn’t wanna know about it. Call me a liar absolutely incredible. How I was treated, so goodbye, mine lab never again ,

(thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

      I got the XP Deus 2 WS6 Master for $800. Same performance as the regular Deus 2. I couldn't be happier, and I come home with more finds and silver than my buddy with an Equinox 800 most of the time. I had the Equinox 800 and sold it after getting the WS6 Master. Also the Deus is the lightest detector out there. For me, that equates to more hours detecting and more finds.

      Simplex is by far the best bang for your buck. You won't find a better detector than Simplex for under $250. You have listed all great Detectors here tho for sure, only one I would wait on is the Manticore, great detector still but it 100% has some bugs to work out still. I have owned 20+ Detectors personally and can stand behind all the Detectors on 'VaMa's' list. My personal favorites tho are White's Spectra V3i for my everyday hunting, XP Deus for my "Long Day" hunts, and my XP ORX for my Gold Machine. I have a big arsenal with lots of options tho. Whenever someone tells me they are new to the hobby and want ONE detector to get into the hobby with 99 out of a 100 I will recommend the Nokta Makro Simplex+

    Oh… seems you were paid by Garrett. Those machines are old and just do not offer the quality of other brands. I own two Garretts because I was stupid enough to watch a video like yours. I ended with a heavy machine, not suitable for wet sand, that reacts to all the garbage like crazy. I know how to use settings on my Euroace. I managed to find two gold rings. But Garrett is a thing of a past. After learning everything with that one, we finally go for Deus 2, because we also want to dive with our metal detectors. Killing two rabbits with one shot. As for initiation, I wish I knew that there was Nokta Makro Simplex. So many TRUE professional detectorists praise it. While Garrett really needs to stop advertising 150, 250, Euroace and similar as something good. It ja just garbage at this point considering what is out there for a similar price if not cheaper!!

      Maybe learn how to detect and you might be less mouthy about the guy who started the civilian detecting thing back in the 60s, I doubt you've even read a book by chuck or understand how they work... its about the user and not so much about the detector capabilities, I'm sure I could detect circles around most with there $2800 detector from Australia its not even made In MERICA!....

    Not even watching the vid, I say the minelab xterra pro, for the shear depth, fully water proof, great electronics, great for inland hunting and great for wet sand beach and under the water, and the price is right.
