definitely gonna try this Im gonna play on my hs team next year and i have a big head and my friend said all the helmets are small but i need a blue helmet so i'll be turning my helmet blue
I just used reg rubbing alcohol and for the sanding block I just used the sanding block from dollar tree. I tried posting pictures of what the helmet looks like now but I couldn’t figure it out. The helmet looks great and still in the same condition other than a couple more scratches but the paint hasn’t chipped or anything! Best DIY hack ever! Lol 😂
Great job! Next time try out Krylon Fusion, they offer a can with primer and finish so it'll save you a step and the Fusion adheres to plastic VERY well. @@itscraftoclocksomewhere
good job
Awesome job!!! We as parents have to do whatever it takes!!
Perfect
Always spray on light mist first so paint sticks better then lay it on thick after

Gotta save that money some way!! Them 3 and 4 hundred dollar bats adds up . Damn fine job if you ask me !!! If it dings up spray it again .
Thanks so much! Not to bad for my first try at it! Definitely worth it since a new helmet can cost $40 plus dollars
How did it hold up?
I’m thinking about doing this however I need it for this Saturday. Ugh, I wish I read the baseball memo sooner. I don’t have enough time do I?
No you don’t have enough time. I let mine cure for several days.
Can you share what you wiped on the helmet and grit of sanding block? I need to do this with my son’s helmet

Can you provide a update on how well the white is sticking to helmet after use?
So sorry for the delay. It’s held up great! No major chips or anything!
Looks good! What did you use to clean it first?
What did you use to clean the helmet
Rubbing alcohol
What are you wiping it down with at the beginning???
Rubbing alcohol to get any lent/dust off
Wow...hope that cardboard was free...lol
Hey! Looks like it's been about a month, how has it held up?
It’s held up pretty well actually! Little scuffs here and there but no major chipping what so ever! I’m very pleased with the out come
Could've added an extra layer of protection with clear coat matte finish spray paint as well. But great job!!
Aren’t the chemicals in the spray paint harmful? I’ve thought about doing this to my daughter’s softball helmet but I’m too scared too.
Spray paint is effectively non-toxic once it dries. I let it cure and sit out outside for days
@@itscraftoclocksomewhere Thankyou for the info I had no idea. 😊
What is the name of the paint I use?
Rust-Oleum
Sorry for the delay

That things gotta stink
No it actually doesn’t I let it cure and sit outside for days before putting it in his bat bag. It doesn’t stink or smell what so ever.
How did it hold up?
It’s held up great! No major dings or clippings! You would never have known it was spray painted!
