    Fastest and easiest why to hold the eggs. Nice video, good that your doing this for those who didn't know...lol, when I was growing up I didn't have anyone to teach me, and they didn't have CZcams back then, so I learned the hard way....lol, lost a ton of eggs but finally figured it out. These videos will help people out immensely. Props to y'all for doing these.

    My concern is that if this is done and I go to cast. Wouldn't the line tense up on the eggs and the berries fly off when you go to cast? This is my first time learning how to go fishing and I have very many questions but not really knowing what yo do. Love these videos you guys make though

    • @JLM_Fishing
      @JLM_Fishing Před rokem

      There shouldn’t be tension on it since you’ll tie the line to an online weight, and then that to your drift bobber. If there is any I tension it’d be on the bobber side or above the inline weight.

    8:32 -- I did the double-wrap of the egg-loop around the eggs and that technique ruined by egg hook.
    After doing that four or five times, the egg loop develops a massive knot and is too difficult to un-do. So the egg-loop hook has to be cut away and replaced... shitty.

    I fish the salmon river the last 3 years I’ve kept eggs in skein and have tried curing them with boroxofire. First year it just made a mess next year I used a lot less still not good same last year with even less cute on them. This year I’m trying to rock salt them. Not sure what’s going wrong for me if I’m just getting fish too late and the skein isn’t good quality or the cure is shit. I’d like to see a video of them being cured. And why haven’t you guys done a video up here salmon river Pulaski ny? Is it because it’s a zoo? Oh and swag me

    • @adventureswithbear
      @adventureswithbear Před 2 lety

      If your roe is from a salmon late in its run the skein could either be really thin or in some cases already released the roe cause it was about to discharge the eggs. In that case, go with the mesh spawn sacks available at most fishing stores. Easy to tie on and come in a wide variety of colors.

    Maybe some people see better than me, but I could not follow the knot. Or maybe it is for those that already know how and just want a refresher. Why do you hold up the hook and knot against a grey shirt that makes it impossible to see how it is done…? That is ridiculous to instruct like that. Who not hold up a piece of flat black card and have two cameras? Sorry, lost me and a number of other people who had the same reaction. Too bad.
