Eric, I am so glad I found your channel. I was one of those filmmakers that would film anything and everything to get some work out there and since discovering your work, I fell in love with commercial filmmaking. I bought your course recently and uploaded my first passion project to the Facebook group. I’d love some feedback if possible! I want to get better and better every day
This is more than a filmmaking tip, it's a business blueprint. Eric breaks down the common mistakes holding videographers back from higher pay and bigger clients.
How do you “sale” all that to your client when you are starting out? Do you show them your past work? What if you didnt have experience in that niche? The selling part is the most difficult for filmmakers. Great video eric! Breakdown more of your past work! Keep it up and thank you for helping us to improve! Cheers 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
If you don't have experience in a niche yet, then you need to get it. Do a passion project, get a case study and testimonial, show what you can do. I've had students land multiple high paying gigs just from one single passion project. Definitely recommend watching the training linked in the description-I go way more in depth on this stuff!
I was just talking with my videographer friend about how I think i'm charging too little. Especially compared to what he charges in the same area. I'm done with that exploring phase you talked about and feel like I can really start to take myself more seriously. I suffer from imposter syndrome for sure. Just discovered you recently and have been loving your content!
That's where marketing comes in! There's lots of ways to do it. I would recommend checking out the free training in the description where I go more in depth on this topic.
Cinema mastery gives a high level overview of some of the business aspects, but it primarily focuses on the cinematography. We have a separate training program that is more business focused, which you can learn about by watching the free training in the description.
