- After several weeks of computer issues, we can now create and share our videos with you once again! These last couple of weeks we have been putting hard work into refinishing our downstairs floors, and recording every step of the way. These poor floors had seen it all! After 100 years of use, we gave them new life! Did they turn out the way you thought they would? Comment below and let us know what you think!

Jordan!! My husband, who was a builder and renovator for many years, told me to tell you, "Get yourself some knee-pads!!" He is really sorry he didn't wear them when he was young. He is 65 now and paying the price. You two are such a joy to watch. Love your sweet family.
Thank you so much for the great suggestion! So glad you like our videos! Thanks Pam :)
I'm a thirty year floor sander. I refer to myself as the job site safety officer. I'm constantly telling the young guys to wear knee pads and hearing protection
Oxalic Acid...Cleans old wood beautifully, then you can clean treat it, bleech it and then treat and restore it. I have cleaned old Oak beams with it and they look stunning, then I liquid waxes them.
Renovating an old farm house is awesome. We moved into my wife’s great great grandmothers house that was built in 1926. We have renovated the entire down stairs and are getting ready to refinish the upstairs floors. Original hardwood floors are the best. They don’t build houses like these anymore!
Very nice to see some one doing the job correctly. The way you back cut the boards to cover the hole ( known as lacing in ) is the way is should be done. Using a proper under layment instead of that pink rosin paper is also correct. This will provide both moisture and termite protection for years to come.. I have been restoring and re-finishing wood floors for 55 plus years and it is great to see some one doing repair work properly. As an instructor and certified wood tech. GREAT JOB!!!!!
Wow! Fantastic work! Beautiful 😍
Wife and I are about to tackle cleaning and painting a 100 yr old floor. Our plan is to wash it down, looking for nails popping out, scrap whatever needs scraping, then paint it. Giving it two coats. I will be wearing knee pads too!!! My old knees will thank me later.
You guys did a great job! Come to my place and do mine!! Just kidding. LOL
12 acres and old farmhouse. SWEET.
I like all he does all the work!
So I’m doing this right now.. made it to the point of stain…. And I almost can’t do it…. It’s so beautiful and bright! Kinda just wanna put clear on and return all the stain. You did a great job!! Hope mine comes out as good.
Great Job! Truly Awesome Restoration!!! 👌🙏👌
I cried.......I really did......with happiness! What a joy it is to see floors done, the RIGHT way! They are gorgeous! GREAT JOB!!!!
Well done !!! As someone who has had to TRY that job.... oh the hard work is right! My husband and I live in my family home now and my Father put white oak wood flooring down through the whole house. Our house was built around 1880 and my parents bought it in 1948. I was the 3 child they had and I’m 63 ....but when I was 7-8 ( I don’t really remember the carpet going down...just memories of the SMELL OF GLUE...YUP GLUE).
My Father being a contractor.... he built to last! So around 11 years ago....I wanted the carpet gone and my Dad’s beautiful work exposed! 2 layers of carpet. The 1st was easy to come up... stapled along the wall... BUT the original carpet....GLUED !!! I tried everything the internet suggested!
Finally got my husband to agree to a professional company ( that was after weeks of trying to help me get glue off the floors in rooms about the size likes yours! ) They came in... sanded and in 4 hours....gone! Gorgeous floors ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. A few spots needed repairs...small, small spots! Really thought it was going to be outrageous to have done... thankfully it wasn’t! We did natural finish. I wish now I had gone dark....but they look like they did when I was little! 💕😁
So my hat is off to you and your very hard, hard work! But we are older and it was too much, plus working outside the home full time ( both of us and long hours) ... we were trying during evening hours and weekends. My husband turned 71 yesterday... so age was not on our side...LOL!!!
Again..WELL DONE...THEY ARE INCREDIBLE !!! So glad you have a new camera and up and running...YOU TWO WERE MISSED !
The amount of dedication and perseverance you exerted was inspiring, and it paid off! Great job!
So much work! Only the love of an old house!
Oh my made me tear up the beauty!!!! Great Job.
1st time visiting this sight, what an adorable family!
I would be in heaven with all that stuff. I love stuff.. live reusing selling crafting. The house is beautiful. Thank you for the video about to our home that has been in family since the late 1800's.. starting taking up rugs in one room oh my how awful and nasty they are.. I can't wait to finish watching this video I need all the help I can get thank you for your time hugs
Absolutely Amazing and Beautiful….Great Job!!!
Nice People, nice House and nice Music, love this video ! Floor is looking amazing , the hard work pay,s off !!Greets from The Netherlands !
Thank you so much Albert! 🙌
Almost Half of my 1928 bungalow had oak floors which I did about 5 years ago- they have character after ripping up carpet, 2 layers of lino (brown 9 inch with red border around!) Sanded and painted 1 room of the fir half, now working on my bedroom. Getting the black mastic up is a bear, but now I have my method down with an adhesive remover. It will also have Character after lighter stain plus poly coat. Thanks for showing the products you used- very helpful! God bless you and the sweetness of your family
Wow the floor looks beautiful, will worth the labour of love
Subscribed! Then realized we’re neighbors. Looking forward to watching you guys progress!
Floors are Beautiful
Thank you so much Paula!
Most wood conditioner are mineral spirits or paint thinner. You did the right thing by using it. It make the the stain absorption uniform. You did an awesome job.
First video that shows the truth about the old mastic lol . That stuff is unlike anything .
Three years late to the series and polishing off our craftsman renovation (circa 1920) and completely appreciate your hard work!
Truly a labor of love
Wow! Wow! Wow! What a ton of work, but wow does that floor ever look amazing! Great job!

Thank you so much Kathy! We are super happy with how they turned out :)
It's amazing how satisfying it was to watch you transform those floors. Every time I see one of your videos about how you are bringing new life to that place I think it must truly be a "God thing" that led you to this place. The floors look amazing!! My 71 year old back and knees are sore just from watching you work. Please share a video of the kids sliding on that floor sometime ok?
It most definitely was God! I am still amazed by how it happened. We are also so grateful to Roxanne and love her very much! We will make sure to share some video of the kiddos on the new floors soon :)
Magnificent! Jordan you were born to resurrect this house and land, to bring your beautiful wife and family there to live a peaceful and rewarding life. Simply amazing...
Grand old machine - grand old floor - grand old house - grand YOUNG family!! I wish I could know you personally, I am just so proud of you both!! Guess it's the grandmother coming out in me! 🧓👍👍👍
I have so much respect for you, your vision, work ethics and skills. Thank you for saving that beautiful old homestead.

Water..., yeah, teehee...but only after it was loosened up by all the other stuff first! 😁
So, part of the story is how it almost took you out! 👍📽👀👏👏👏👏
It looks absolutely amazing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💕🤗
Gosh I would give up my gas heater for some 'inchulation'. This cracked me up! Nice job guys!
Your hard work, dedication and love have caught my breath. Seeing Little Jor & Maisie running around makes me remember my siblings & I doing the same over those same floors and fields. You're bringing that old house back to life for another 100 years. I don't even have the words... Much love.
So much love to you Roxanne! It is truly our honor!
Wow***** 5 🌟
You have worked so hard and it’s a great result all I can say is wow 🤩 😘 Wendy from the uk 🇬🇧 xx 😘
I really enjoy your sweet little family you're living the dream I wanted. I'm living vicariously through you guys. What a talented man and loving father
Greetings from Melbourne Australia. AMAZING WORK
Yup yup looking awesome you guys! Love love love it ! ♥️♥️♥️
The floors look great .We are restoring an 1863 cottage and it sure is a lot of work but I love it.
Stumbled across this video and really enjoyed it. I am a hardwood flooring contractor by trade (commercial gym floors) and I must say this is the best DIY floor project I have seen on YT. The only thing I cringed on was "two coats of stain". Word of caution to those watching, this introduces a high chance of bonding issues and potential finish peeling. But holy cow the end result was spectacular! Loved how you did your repairs and able to hide the new material mixed with the old reused salvaged boards. Also, that type of floor sander is usually VERY hard to use without leaving machine marks and I didn't see any. Great technique and you actually followed your grit progression. Bravo guys!!
Love your farm and your beautiful family.
Gorgeous floors. Those children are the cutest. So well mannered and HAPPY!
Lots of hard work. Great job.
Sir u and your wife did a awesome job on the floor sir it look beautiful sir really nice u now what to do on that floor u now how to do that work 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯
It’s beautiful!😍🥰
It’s darker than I want mine, because my walls are dark tongue/groove pine as well and it’s impossible to get good lighting in here. On mine, I would try to find a lighter, shinier finish. Bout 11 years ago, we just slapped carpet on the floors because of staining, rotted spots, etc. Now, I HATE the carpet and want to pull it up to repair/refinish the floors, but can’t even afford to put in new carpet right now, so I KNOW I can’t afford this, even if we do it ourselves. I would love it so much though! It’s so amazing! I wish I could get my husband to devote himself to a home project, instead of a new fast motor project 😒
Beautiful! Well done man! 🤎
that's not " just" renovation this is a work of art !

Ho wow unbelievable. What a transformation! The room will turn out absolutely fabulous.
Hey watchers! if you let the ads run the videos this cute this family gets money to fund their little home projects. I don't know about you but I can't wait to see what they work on next.
The patch work was great. I'm even more surprised that your kids know what inchulation is at such a young age, at least you know you are doing something right!
Just beautiful ❣️
My new favorite channel. Got my dad watching too. Loved how your son was watching you. That's how my brother and I learned construction from my dad. Keep up the great work.
Looks great! I've done a few floors in my life and it's ain't easy.
The floor turned out beautiful! About 50 yrs. ago I finished a splintery old T&G pine floor in my parents' home. I remember everything you both went through. A lot of work but so pleasing when done. I used a Minwax oil based finish (4 coats). My brothers used to love to slide on it in their stocking feet. FWING! The finish lasted 20 yrs and was still good when we sold the house. Good luck with the fixer-upper! Eventually you will be able to sit down and enjoy!
Just found y'all ! Bravo on the floor ! Well done !
Beautiful JOB LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

That was a lot of painstaking work, but I am sure you love the result.
Unbeknownst to them at the moment, Dad & kids are making for a lot of good future memories! I myself, as a child, have a fond memory of my Dad teaching me the "right way" to hold a hammer. Fantastic job on the floor!! Eagerly waiting to see the rest of the journey!
exactly what i was thinking. ill never forget my dad renovating our house and showing me how to do stuff the right way.
That had to be grueling and exhausting work, but oh so gratifying there at the end. So impressed!
Wow, all your hard work paid off...so gorgeous and with lots of personality. Enjoy!
