    You want a 11 second time slip. That’s easy, well depending where you live. Slap on a set of drag radials and skinny’s up front and I guarantee you will run in the 11.7-11.8 range with a good run. No power mods needed.

    Alex, another great video, educational, informative and with guidance and direction. I appreciate how you 'get right to it' instead of adding 5 minutes of drivel and fluff to the beginning to add watch minutes. I also love how your sub count is exploding. I remember last year when it was around 1,200 and it's now taking off, I'm happy for you. You've got me exciting about my own AMG purchase I'm planning for this fall. Subscribed. For a while now ive been looking into getting a V8, first it started off with a 2003 Audi RS6, but theyre holding their value really well. Then i thought about dropping a V8 into one of my cars but it was a nightmare and the cost far outweighed practicality of just outright owning a car that already has a V8 in it. The E55 is my best chance at owning a V8 as a daily driver, nice vid.

My e55 is stock at the moment but i do monitor my iat temps with a cheap $20 elm327 obd2 bluetooth scanner and a cheap android phone that i leave in the ashtray in front of the shifter. you should so something similar to show us some real time temps and recovery times before and after pulls. lets just say since i got mine and watched the intake temps not having the split cooling i never even get on mine very often and just drive my truck on the hot days. keep up the badass video content!

      It's more like 35hp. I should know, I did that mod and had a before and after dyno at the time. Why is it that people wo know nothing about a certain car model and it's upgradability comment on what he "thinks" you will or won't make. Unbelievable.

      samspace81 besides the guy who just commented above saying you will get 35hp...VRP obviously isn't just going to lie about it. Why is it so hard to believe that throttle body change which by nature moderates air flow, could have a drastic increase in hp?

    Best 7 things you can do with this car are 1: fit a larger inter cooler for the supercharger, 2: Split the cooling system, 3: Upgrade the intercooler pump, 4: Fit a 77mm clutched pulley, 5: Fit 550cc injectors, 6: Get a tune (Eurocharged, VRP, German Muscle etc etc), 7: 1 step colder plugs. That will give you the best price to performance ratio - assuming you do the work yourself you'd be into it for about $2,000 to $2,500. I went a little further with short headers and a 92mm throttle body but really the cost of those and having them fitted was not worth the gain. Oh and get the supercharger serviced as well. Great fucking car.

    Good video. 5000 your dreaming haha. If you keep cooking the tires/tyres. Does the ecu come with automatic updates? Like say your natsav comes with updates. Does the ecu do the same that improves the tune you have already?

    • @LegitStreetCars
      @LegitStreetCars  Před 6 lety

      I know, haha. There are no automatic updates. The tune is aftermarket so anytime I change something I tell the tuning company and they send me an updated file.

    You should do a quarter mile time before you do all the mods.

    I found a 2004 e55. It has 129,000 miles is that good. The options it has all for the most part the same as your e55 except the dual sun roof

    • @LegitStreetCars
      @LegitStreetCars  Před 6 lety +1

      Awesome, have it checked out by a good shop first. Its really hard to tell if its good or not by just knowing the miles.

    Where is the pulley kitt.,? With pulley and those mods you can reach 640 horses. Also you need bench adjusting for ecu.

    I recently purchased an '03 S55 amg 1 owner, 93k miles. Definitely planning on doing some subtle mods such as the ones you mentioned in your video. How different is the E55 from the s55? Do they have similar cooling issues? Can I make similar gains by doing the same mods you mentioned? Im new to these AMG cars so forgive my ignorance!

    • @LegitStreetCars
      @LegitStreetCars  Před 5 lety

      As far as engine and transmission they are basically identical. You can do almost all the same mods. They don't have cooling issues with the engine. The water to air intercooler system isn't the best but you can help that with a larger heat exchanger and free flowing exhaust.
