Professor, you should have not taken this wide subject in such a small period. TPM is more about autonomous maintenance system with a systematic approach to eliminate losses with different pillars concept as defined by JIPM.
This is operation management course. Therefore It is not possible to cover all subject areas,and operation manager does not need be a quality specialist. But operation manager should have idea about that. That's what he is going to cover.
