I never realized this until now. When Marcus is walking away from Dom and hears a gunshot, he stops for a second. He stops because he’s waiting to hear if Dom is going to shoot himself. Shit man.

Gamestop at release night and taking the whole week off work for this game. It was so worth it mowing down the locusts with my brother and friends online all week long. Nothing but cold beer stong smoke and lots of batteries.

A lot of it didnt make sense as a kid but its even more messed up when you realize maria looked normal at first bc dom was imagining it but when he came back to reality he was holding a corpse

Saddest part for me is you train ben and he ends up dying a brutal death at such a young age.

you know, with the benefit of hindsight, Myrrah in the intro is still right with Humanity bringing the Locust upon them: even if they weren't made in a lab, her lover did steal away their daughter Raina; many would use that as a justifiable reason to go to war. Hell, it's what started the Trojan War
How Halo gets a remaster and multiple sequels but gears can’t even get a remastered trilogy is the biggest load of shit I’ve ever seen in my life I’m not saying halo is bad or anything. I just feel gears of war is on the same level when it comes to popularity.
I still play original trilogy multiple times on my Xbox 360 because they’re that good.
I'm pretty sure I have like four or five copies of gears of war 2 because I loved the game so much but It kept breaking.

Benjamin Carmine was by far one of the best voice actors ever. I think his like ability is what made so many fans want Clayton to live…I bought the shirt

I played this game so much the disc got burnt spots in it when it came out and I never noticed that until now.
I’m pretty sure it’s meant to represent the pendulum wars as it was Cog vs UIR where they used the retros (going off of what myrahh was saying at the time of the cutscene) “humanity fought an endless war against itself”

They tried to make it a recurring joke, but instead they turned the Carmines into the Waterfall family from Futurama.

Clayton Carmine Gears 3: still alive. Has messages on his chest armour saying “Keep your head down” and “ practice reloading”
D Carmine Gears 4: only mentioned by name. He mans the gun turret at the Outsider camp in Act 1. After Reyna be heads Jinns droid, she shouts his name as an order to shoot down the helicopter. During the defend the door mission that follows, his watchtower is blown up. Unknown if he survives or not as never mentioned again.
Addendum: in Gears 5 when you visit the village of the Riftworm Skeleton, one of the collectibles is Benjamins decayed helmet.
