Why do you have Guard 5? Is it to avoid knock back when doing guard points? Also why only CE lvl 1? I thought it was meta even in CB even though phials don’t crit. Always open to learn new stuff
G5 is for smaller knockback which means SAED comes out faster and he doesn't get smacked around mid animation (timing can be that restrictive with CB). Only needs 1 point in CE because Safi's armor has true dragonvein awakening which has 40% inherent crit. With wex and the inherent weapon affinity that should come out to 100% on tenderized parts (the head), which is ideally where you want the physical axe hits to land.
@@MidmaCM That's not quite how it works. The Guard+5 really reduces the knockback on Guardpoint compared to Guard+3. The guard bonus from the charge shield (and even the guard point) is in addition to the Guard+5 bonus. It's like a separate modifier. You can test this on many moves where the knockback is greater with Guard+3 compared to +5.

But why guard 5 still? Having the shield charged gives you +2 guard I read. So 3 guard is all you need really
