Hi Andrew and daddy Garvey. My father in law used to live in Puerto De Santiago and was at the harbour in Los Gigantes and was watching a guy feeding bread to the fish. He asked him are they edible andthe guy said no that's why they are so big as no one fishes for them as they are not edible. Great vlog the Calima is very thick. We are going to Mallorca soon and they had a Calima the other day too.

How’s it going ? Love Los Gigantes. Stayed in the Tui blu Los Gingantes hotel. Lovely view and a really nice villa at crab island. Loads of boat trips from there.
You can eat the fish in Los Gigantes, as long as you like the taste of diesel 😂

The larger fish are Grey Mullet and can be eaten, along with their roe. However, I’m not sure I’d eat the ones from the harbour due to contamination from the boats and associated activities.
Never had a Calima over there, must have been lucky. 😎

We were there in 2018 and a calima rolled in and it wasn't pleasant at all and your dad's right it does feel very claustrophobic and sticky hot. Luckily it only lasted a day. X
