Great times.
The old L2 days are treasured by whoever lived them.
It wasn't the graphics, it was so many aspects that made it a unique experience.
Words can't capture it, nor can a fancy fountain and some glitter.
i know the music it legit beats any game there is, the grind was fun the spells where planty and diffrent the classes each with its own special spells i remember playing dark elf because of the cool summons, but the community was amazing the guild wars the pet system everything in this game is and will be a masterpiece
O jesus the nostalgia over 20 years ago playing this on official server Bart. I was a prophet lvl 60+ everyone wanted to party with because of my buffs. Good old times never ever coming back

Ну, вполне живые сервера Интерлюда (и даже ещё более старых хроник) ещё есть, но первый раз бывает только однажды в жизни, детство не вернуть, да.

All the mmorpgs ruined the games by making everything too easy. The new mmos are the same. If I can finish all of the leveing in under 1-2 weeks of a game being released Im going to be bored with it after a month.

я извиняюсь, но мне одному показалось, что раньше было как то душевнее чем сейчас?...
Пусто на площадях и только фрики 130+ лвла бегают, торговли нет, жизни на лоу лвлах тоже судя по всему.
@@xpoftik хз где так. На Аркане до сих пор в гиране много сидит гномов да и в нубо локациях бывает жизнь. топ лвл 80, как и было в С6, всё.

Excellent work Fanat L2. I've played from C4 to the current official crap so I've experienced many of those changes.
My childhood... I still listen to soundtrack.. best music ever, there was something so beautiful about l2 ... I moved to Scotland and it reminds me here of L2

In the official server it’s just an afk pointless grind and I have over 20k in gear!!

Not much has changed. I was always angry at the fact, that they did new chronicles, but every single them still looks almost the same, nothing new really, just few adjustments.
But still for me it's a lovely game.

there's no game with a soundtrack so magical as this game, I've never played lineage 2 too much as I wanted, but the soundtrack of this game is so incredible that makes me feel like I am literally breathing and living in this fantasy world full of magic!
I work in games today and this game is one of the reasons for it, I want to create wonderful worlds and magic like this for the people!

There are official servers with modern game version, and some unofficial (private) servers based on interlude, high five etc.
Funniest part is that on official servers play less people than on some big privates. This community loves old chronicles.

So there was a graphic rework at some point. It's interesting trying to connect the dots to what the general experience was in 2005-2006. back when i played as a kid
i played from C1 , best fucking times in the official :D but after H5 they changed the dev team and everything after H5 is not Lineage 2 for me , sometimes i find some mid rate H5 server to play for 1-2 weeks :D fun times

Even when I have been with l2 all this time, I lost track of how things look now, specially with so many different chronicles
The clear loser here is the login screen. All chronicles had some amazing login screens, but that colorfull child dwarf is just awful, doesnt look like l2 at all
The map in general got better I think, the effects and the performance. But the game itself totally died after h5. And before that it died when kamaels appeared
Nothing will beat what it was during c1 to c4. Truly the peak experience of this game, and its a shame that so many could never see that age of l2
I think L2 peaked at C6 Interlude - and there's still a couple server alive running those chronicles, each with several hundred CCU and >1000 daily actives

Не знаю откуда скейлы старой версии, офф или пиратка, но один хер в новой версии дай Бог 1 человек в деревне стоит со светящейся пушкой и не понятно каким шмотом, а раньше тут кипела жизнь. Грустно на это смотреть(

Тоесть, в мире - поменялось КРАЙНЕ МАЛО. Ну ок, в деревне гномов случилась большая пьянка и все валяются, а у тёмных эльфов статуя Шилен постепенно изпод земли поднимается.
Зато логинскрин и сцену создания нового перса - капитально оказуалили. Как будто травы из Blade&Soul завезли.

Old L2 made use of almost all the map, new L2 only has those as decoration. Most locations are empty, that's a poor design.

Я удивлён что они за четверть века движок не изменили и всё выжимают из старого.
Вроде бы все красиво, все хорошо, натянули текстуре (хотя не особо что-то поменялось) но... Не знаю... Уже не цепляет. Нет той атмосфры. Я даже сейчас лучше вернусь в с4 (те оригинальные, а не ремастер) чем пойду играть в современную л2
К сожалению, на текущий уровень ММОРПГ она не тянет от слова совсем, ни по графике ни по геймплею. Но и при этом умудрилась растерять весь свой шарм тех годов.
Если бы я выбирал, я бы с лёгкостью предпочел с4-интерюд времён нулевых какому-нибудь относительно современному БДО
После с1-с3 хроник с4 и интерлюд хроники это промто помойка😢

Олдов обидели, новичков не привлекли, после с4-с6 какие-то никчемные люди игрой занимались...
