This is the coolest thing ever....lots of cars cant even go 100 mph on a rough surface like that...You are awesome kevin!!!!!
ye i agree
@@mohitmistry4811 same
Keep in mind that most of these RCs dont even weigh 10 pounds. Cars weigh a couple thousand. Plus cars run on internal combustion, not electricity, so they don't have anywhere near as much instant torque.
@@Schmoose what are you trying to say?
@@happyfuntimemusic7500 What im trying to say is of course RC cars can get to 100 mph offroad because they weigh next to nothing when you compare them to a car and they produce much more horsepower and torque for their size compared to a car. Its really shouldnt even be a comparison.
Always brightens up my day when i get your notifications!
I love how you are preparing a car for a competition and showing the build process. Not making people wait till after so they don't nick your idea
Kev wants world record
Also thatâs a big ass motor
That thing just looks like an absolute beast!!! I can't wait to see what you finish with!! Love the content kev!! Appreciate all your hard work.
if you still end up putting the dual motors you'll have more weight in the front as well to help with wheelies even more
What you need to do is run grippier tires in the front and looser tires in the rear, Kev. We have gotten a typhon up to 78 mph on the grass on 6s using a leopard 4292 motor. Which is nowhere near as good as your TP motor. I ran Badland tires on the front holeshot pin tires on the rear. It will give you a more forward bias bite. We also used a Futaba helicopter head lock gyro on the starting. The forward bias will keep it from doing a wheelie.
that is the coolest rc car ever! love your vids kev!
Hi Hen
This is by far you're best project ever. It's such an amazing machine kev!! Great work!!
Guys donât hate letâs get kev to 1M subs cmon cmon!!!
Kev I love this longer content so please keep it like this đ
The competitiveness between you and Martyn is awesome! That along with the cooperation between the two of you and the think tank (Pat,Vinnie,8s Steve,Claire and Ian) this is going to happen!
Kevin is always so excited making everyone else super excited, to be honest you are really the one that made me so invested in rc cars as I'm new to the hobby, even more excited I don't live very far from you. Keep it up kev
I wish I had friends like Pat and Steve :'( kev is lucky with the people he has... stay safe kev!
Kevin.
A few thoughts for the speed cars.
Aluminium wheels will keep there shape better than plastic. If needed you can get them balanced.
A vertical stabilizer adds to the car will help at high speed but will affect steering at high speed. F1 cars have them.
Don't worry about weight too much as the full sized cars that do appreciate records weigh more than you think. Weight only affects the acceleration and deceleration, so you could put weight on the front if needed.
You will get the 100mph, but you'll be chasing 1/2 a mph at a time.
I race off-road in the US. Build some tires with double-sided vinyl floor tape you can buy at a home improvement store. It will keep your tires from ballooning by adhering the foam inserts to the wheels. The tire and wheel will still come unglued eventually over time but you won't have catastrophic ballooning and ripping away at high speeds. One other suggestion: the extremely high center diff oil weight robs the motor of its efficiency and power. Without thick fluid in the front diffs, speed is lost. Try something like 80K-200K-80K for a strong all-wheel-drive straight line effect.
Best CZcamsr ever
Loving these videos Kevin... brilliant đ
Loved the vid kev! Canât wait to see this thing do the long jump
BREAK THE RECORD KEV!!!
Itâs awesome how you guys are a team effort and everyone helps out.
Kev, with a motor can that long, I would put a spacer or brace under the back of the motor, in case the motor flexes and the shaft bends
The shaft?, rather the cap would start coming off.
yeah the cap would come off but if the cap comes off (for me anyway) usualy the shaft bends too
Love these videos
Kev you guys are a blast! đ.. Thanks for your videos!
Kev i used gorilla tape on the inside of the tires to keep them from balloning and it worked just have to get the strongest Gorilla tape turn tire inside out go around the tire then turn it back right and mount the tire back on wheel
When it gets hot, wet, sand or dirt in the tire the glue wears off, and at high speed turns the tape to one side of the tire, making it unbalanced and ruins the tire.
To many words
Just buy steel belted tires, it helped my e-revo vxl
Tg da boss 88 thatâs the problem. No one, and I mean no one makes 1/8 scale off road tires with 17mm hexes that are belted.
@@itchyprince3793 they make adapters, and the proline badlands 1/8 scale are badass tires.
Love your vids Kev
When I first saw the title I thought big deal, off-road RC cars have going 100+ mph for over a decade. Heck, I even got my RC8 with knobby tires up to 86.8 mph. Then I realized he's doing this on grass! Now that's something. All the other buggy speeds runs, including mine, were on pavement. If he can get to 100 on grass that will be really impressive.
I cant stop looking at that UDR up there, its my dream RC
I love your vids kevđ
Awesome vid kev great job keep it up
Awesome stuff guys crazy video haha them cars where shifting!! Top content as always pal
Love your videos kev
I think itâs a lot of fun trying to see how much speed you can get outa your rc!! I look forward to watching the long jump competition!! That things gonna fly super far!! đ
Love your videos
Love your vids
that moves. nice Kev
Don't give up Kev! You can do it!
Thanks for the content Kevin, awesome videos! Your videos do save me in quarantine!!!!
You bring me with every Video a smileon my face.

Awesome vid as always Kev! Patiently waiting on my JLB Cheetah to arrive so I can get to upgrading đ€đ»
What you need is some proper tires, you should give Louise tires a try. Something like
Louise L-T3109B or LT3131B should do the trick.
Kev try weed eater line to belt the tires. I love your videos, keep up the great work!đđ
Kev, just a nod to ya, I fish a good bit, you could try braided fishing line, its stupidly strong for what it is.
Super crazy playing and nice buildings cars !! âïžđ
Love it
That was well cool,
This is so entertaining
Another great video looking fwd to phase 3
You know when Pat and Steve are there it's gonna be a good video
Awesome!
Looking good, hope you get to 100 đđ
Get kev to 1 million!
kevin i learn alot from your channel keep up the good work am from Jamaica
niceeeeee keep it up super fun videos
i have been fishing for 5 years now and i recommend you try some Braided Fishing Line its strong. and you should try putting some small screws in the tiers for more grip
having screws in tires spining ant mad rpms sounds quite dangerous mate
Lmao good for ice only
Itâs a good idea but braid is pretty sensitive to abrasions... I donât think it would hold for very longđ€·ââïž
They also sell a line that has a led core that I think would work
That screw thing is a very bad idea they will fly out like rockets
I'm subscribed and I'm a big fan keep up the good work
I saw a video where a guy used the inside tape trick like you did with drywall tape, but used gorilla tape. He seemed to have good luck with it, even hitting the throttle with the wheels in the air. Used a heat gun to bond it to the tire carcass. Hope this helps, 4070 motors are one of life's best pleasures!
Hmm... the fishing lined tires are still ballooning, theyre just a thinner balloon. Those thin ruts are from the tires centers ballooning out but the outer staying set. Maybe do crossed diagonal wraps, drill concentric holes around the hubs and run the line that way. Fishing line has a TON of strength for its thickness, but you've gotta secure it carefully.
Congrats on winning, but you've still got more in her too, let's get her going even better!
You can do it Kev!!
Go to the locked center diff from hot racing! And belted tires! I have my 6s Typhon Stock wheelbase and I get 83 to 86 miles an hour out of it. But I have a wing on the front to help keep the front end down
Kevin, I give you credit for trying to get high mph, I used to do this and it takes so much more then horse power, all the work in the chassis set up is mind numbing!
Sick dude
This is impossible in that field Kev. You guys need a larger runway!
I think they need an actual runway
The rc hobby is awesomeđđđđđ
Nice run that thing is fast
Keep going it sick car
You R the best Kevin
u r really great...man
I believe in you kevin you will win!!
you should DIY a studded Dboots Hoons tire set for that thing!
I really hope you get the world record!! You deserve it!
What can I say another great video!
I run 1 million weight in my centre diff and the front still balloons, changing to a spool now.
TwitchFast try silicon ear plugs for swimming
Fire video
Looking so forward to this long jump kev you got this bro i beleve proline have come out with a sort of rubberband the goes inside your tire over the foam ro stop the tyre expanding they designed it for the dragracing rc carsđ
that burn out on the grass was genuinely impressive
I like this project.
it nice!
I love you videos Kevin you are the best CZcams ever I love you
Wicked fast! I think maybe a bit wider on the tires for more tread on the ground. She's got to "hook up" with the ground, traction gets speed in the high end. Great start!
New vid from kev!!!đ„°
Very promising tires, great video. But please be careful with those fishing lines and get them back when they explode in the field, I see all sorts of animals getting their feet strangled in them. And maybe the glue does play into the wheels being badly out of balance? You could try it on your bench, spin them up and see how they behave. Maybe even try a prop balancer?
Seus vĂdeos sĂŁo muito bom parabĂ©ns...
You can make cable ties around the tires. I did this at my Thyfon this are super worked.
Broski ur getting faster!
Cool car.
When the tires balloon the diameter gets larger. Therefore you travel further distance with each turn of the wheel/axle, essentially going faster. Small wheels/tires are better for acceleration/drag racing.
Awesome
The cars are still accelerating when you shut them down because you're running out of space. And they're still accelerating because putting the power down early causes the front to rise so you're having to feather the throttle. A front wing would help but would add drag. I think the cure here is to completely rearrange the weight distribution by moving as much mass further forward as possible. This is a design & build challenge for sure, but then who said this would be easy!?
Nice đ
Great video as always. The Typhon 3s and 6s seem to do well on grass and have no problem getting up to speed.
