Thank you for this ramen soup recipe and the excellent video, June is wonderful, she has explained and broken it all down so easily. I'm a good cook taught since a little girl by my mom and grandma. I have wanted to make ramen soup since I saw a very good film years ago called "The Ramen Girl", which I highly recommend. Past actress Brittany Murphy stars in it, takes place in Tokyo, one of my favorite films, she's stuck in her life, depressed and fate has her enter a ramen soup restaurant late one rainy night. Not even knowing the language she is compelled to work there against all odds and learn to make ramen soup. You will enjoy the film, eat a bowl of soup while watching it!

This is the most extra bowl of ramen I have ever seen. You go, June!

June is amazing, especially in her tiny kitchen ( like mine) it feels so doable

Oh my! Now you appreciate what really goes on at the noodle bar. This is way beyond my skill set but loved watching it happen.

Hey June, love the video. I hope you see this in the next 12-15 hours... my wife doesn't really like pork belly. Any suggestions on how to make a chicken breast that would fit in with this? Also, do you keep the mushrooms in the dashi over night? I can't wait to eat this tomorrow night!

I wouldn't recommend boiling chicken breast in the marinade-it's not fatty enough and will probably be a bit dry. I would maybe marinate it with 1/4-1/2 cup of your tare solution and then pan sear it until golden with a couple tablespoons of neutral oil, then rest and slice and serve. You can keep the mushrooms in the dashi if you want a stronger taste.

@@thank9stars Thanks! I cooked this last week and it was fantastic! The pork belly and tare were amazing. I really enjoyed everything. I made my wife a coconut red curry chicken ramen dish. Not traditional, but more up her alley. Thanks for the reply and keep up the great videos!
