Liushen is such a heartbreaking ship, I love it but it was never meant to be and I feel so bad for Liu Qingge. This song fits perfectly and you did a wonderful job with the video💕
Oh guy, most Bingqiu shippers always argue that Liu is straight. I'm not sure about Liu Qingge's sexuality. It is reasonable that Liushen did not get together in the novel because Shen Qingqiu, with the whole plot on his shoulders, could not realize and reflect on Liu Qingge's significant actions. Besides, LB was all the time trying to seduce his shizun by all methods, while Liu Qingge was only trying to help Shen without having that opportunity.
I still go back and forth between, "maybe Qingge wasn't in love with Shen" to "BRUH HE TOTALLY DID 😭" I lean more toward that he liked him, because of 'that' chapter Shen has his fortune read
@PichuElric yes that extra was proof enough to conclude , he definitely has feelings for shen , it might not be similar to LBs but who would keep risking their life and reputation by engaging in battles for years just to retrieve his corpse 😢and his anger when he realized that he was not dead . Poor Liu mourned for years even blamed himself. His devotion wasn't any less that LB infact it was mature, unconditional, and selfless .

I feel like the “Liushen” ship name ain’t really valid though, since technically it’s using Liu Qinge’s surname/last name.. Usually you would use like the first name.
say it to the fandom :) i used the most common shipname for them. liushen also uses sqq's last name, which is logical bc all masters share the same first part of their personal name "qing". how would you make a shipname out of their first names? name them qiuge or geqiu if u want but most part of the eng fandom doesn't use this shipname. surnames are what makes all masters different, so it's more convenient. also next time when u write a comment like this at least spell lqg's name correctly :) he is liu qingge and not liu qinge. there is a big difference.

@@smutnajesieniara i also thought about this while making the animatic but i haven't deepened into it bc it's not necessary to show here. well i prefer to think that sqq was just comfortable in relationship with lqg, whereas he felt like what's called "soulmate" towards lbh and in bingqiu this feeling is mutual. but when it comes to liushen the only one who feels this "true love", "one of a kind" feeling - it's only lqg and not sqq. i'm not saying that sqq wasn't happy together with lqg, he pretty much was and he really loved him. their relationship was healthy and comfortable. but with lbh he discovers smth new, another type of love which suits him more and excites him. i hope this answer will satisfy you and/or gives you food to think and come up with your own version :)

(A little background, basically Liu and Shen go to retrieve a man who is *irrelevant*, then coming to defeat the sucumbi who trapped him aka *Madam Meiyin*. She tries to trick them, and _SEDUCE LIU_ . She leads the pair to a cave to tell their fortune in love. To Madam Meiyin's disappointment, Liu Qingge refuses.)
Liu Qingge had been sitting up straight, alert. At this, he bent slightly toward them, like he wanted to listen in.
Shen Qingqiu nudged his shoulder with his fan. “Shidi, weren’t you ‘not interested’?”
Liu Qingge swiftly straightened again.

"Ah…the other party…is younger than you,” she stammered. “And their seniority, or perhaps their status…isn’t as high as yours."
“Your first meeting was unhappy, and there might even have been loathing involved,” said Madam Meiyin. “But after a critical moment, that all began to change, and thoroughly so."
Liu Qingge unconsciously turned toward them again. This time, Shen Qingqiu didn’t bother teasing him and simply listened closely to the explanation.
Madam Meiyin raised an eyebrow. “The two of you are often together. You have both saved each other’s lives.”
“Is there more?” Liu Qingge suddenly asked.
Shen Qingqiu startled. Only then did he realize that Liu Qingge was no longer listening in secret-he’d moved over to face them completely. Since when had Great Master Liu had so much interest in gossip?
“Your fated person has very little interest in others,” Madam Meiyin went on. “But once they find someone, their devotion is absolute.”
Liu Qingge thought for a while, his expression solemn. Then he asked, “What about appearance-wise?”
Shen Qingqiu stared at him, speechless. Even I haven’t asked that! Why are you asking?! And you’re even getting to the important bits straight-on!
“A first-class beauty, peerless among all humans.” Madam Meiyin said with certainty.
Uncharacteristically, Liu Qingge pressed on in hot pursuit. “What about spiritual energy? Talent?”
“Outstanding talent, incredible spiritual energy, and of illustrious status and noble blood.”
Liu Qingge seemed to be shaking his head in disbelief. “You just said that-him and this person, they’re often together?”
Madam Meiyin nodded. “Perhaps they may endure short periods of separation, but they quickly reunite. And each time, the other party takes the initiative to chase him.”
The corner of Liu Qingge’s eyes kept twitching, then he would violently suppress it, like something had greatly disturbed him. Or perhaps it would have been more correct to say that he’d stepped on a great big landmine.
Then Madam Meiyin spoke a final line, which dealt him a fatal blow. “I’m very jealous,” she said to Shen Qingqiu. “Do you know, Immortal Master? This person is deeply in love with you.”
Liu Qingge stiffly swiveled his head toward Shen Qingqiu; he wore a complicated expression that was impossible to describe. It was clearly neither joy nor anger, yet it was intensely tormented.

I feel like the “Liushen” ship name ain’t really valid though, since technically it’s using Liu Qinge’s surname/last name..
Usually you would use like the first name.
say it to the fandom :) i used the most common shipname for them.
liushen also uses sqq's last name, which is logical bc all masters share the same first part of their personal name "qing". how would you make a shipname out of their first names? name them qiuge or geqiu if u want but most part of the eng fandom doesn't use this shipname.
surnames are what makes all masters different, so it's more convenient.
also next time when u write a comment like this at least spell lqg's name correctly :) he is liu qingge and not liu qinge. there is a big difference.

I hate that there aren't that many liushen fanfics that don't involve binge in a polyamorous way, I really hate that the most beautiful ship in the novel doesn't have so much love in the world of fanfics, do you know how much Hualian I'll have to read to heal my heart after that? :"(

@@smutnajesieniara i also thought about this while making the animatic but i haven't deepened into it bc it's not necessary to show here. well i prefer to think that sqq was just comfortable in relationship with lqg, whereas he felt like what's called "soulmate" towards lbh and in bingqiu this feeling is mutual. but when it comes to liushen the only one who feels this "true love", "one of a kind" feeling - it's only lqg and not sqq. i'm not saying that sqq wasn't happy together with lqg, he pretty much was and he really loved him. their relationship was healthy and comfortable. but with lbh he discovers smth new, another type of love which suits him more and excites him. i hope this answer will satisfy you and/or gives you food to think and come up with your own version :)
