    Now I'm ready to re-skin my broken year ago 10" djembe.
    I asked many drum shops in our city, who can do it. Nobody helped me.
    So I will do it self.

      Slava Chrome I’ve just reskinned my 13” dia. Head Djembe, all good. Just follow the videos, keep an eye that head loop remains level

    does a thin skin produce a warmer sound?

      I think a thinner skin produces a higher pitch sound. I would think a thick skin would be warmer.

    making smooth rough texture will change sound of my djembe?

      Shaving hair off will change the sound but just sanding a shaved head will not change the sound noticeably.
