Maybe they could add a Finnish division for the PACT representing the puppet government, and another for NATO representing the resistance with Swedish "volunteers" and NATO air and special forces support?
The lore is just so good But also really enjoying the game, i play it since January 2023 and it got better and better. Things I would like to see: Italy as new nation in NATO side(maybe a DLC) and maybe Chinese army too (but depends on how the lore evolves). The object 292 tank in a possible new division.
I like the detail that the Soviets would’ve believed Reforger was a front for a first strike and so decided to start their own “exercise” as a first strike. Shows their way of thinking in one very quick way.

I like the most that americans were scared of USSR too, so both sides were embroiled in an an arms race with one sole thought in mind - "our adversary is way ahead and we'll be dead by tomorrow if we won't do something"

We need more money for SDI program!...' etc. And the Soviet media wasn't better. While IRL both sides just started the R'n'D on this topic and could make the space wars in real by 2000, not earlier. Cold war as it is.

It has been a long, long road. Been 2 years since I got the game and christ it's been a long road. Ups and downs, and those certain metas that uhh, made the game less than comfortable. Been a good run in Early Access. Now it's time for a complete game. Also, really excited for these future DLCs! Can't wait for more British love in NORTHAG!

As a soldier from 1998 - 2007 i still remember learning about a WARNO (Warning Order) when I went to PLD (NCO School) they did an amazing job making you feel like your part of Centcom to the point it gives me chills, keep up the great work this is the first game i felt that really make you feel like your back in the military during those time when they drilled the fear of god that youll be facing the red's in open combat, my one opinion to make it better, improve the radio chatter with the units. being part of a Armor unit ( 1-13th Armor Bat ) i would love to hear some realism in the radio coms or give some of us int he Ordinace Corps some love by adding some recovery or repair units, just a thought.

I personally never knew what a WARNO was irl, and I never looked it up before playing, I just never seemed to care. 2 years it seems spent in Early Access, playing and taking a break now and then, I played WARNO all this time without knowing what it stood for. When release day came and I watched this intro for the first time, and I learned what WARNO meant, I dunno I felt kinda funny instead. It's a little silly, but after 2 years I learned what WARNO really is literally and figuratively. I love this game.
The video in itself is very well edited. Lore is interesting but I have a few comments. I hardly believe Finland would easily become REDFOR, even after a well planned coup. At that time politicians and population were heavily inclined towards a neutral policy. Such a coup would trigger PTSD syndrom towards all Finnish ppl of the Winter war, Continuation War and even the Finnish civil War, being the most relevant one here in terms of similarity. Coup would either have failed in reality or if it still would happen, resistance would be very strong. As for the "Troïka paranoidly believes.." one can put this down to pro-NATO propaganda and another way to show Soviets as the "Evil guys" (wait it reminds me of something..), a Soviet defined "red line" might also have been crossed. Anyway, a pro-Soviet lore introduction with their point of view would also be interesting to better get the lore. :)

So in theory Finland can have Western Vehicles/Equipment and some of those vehicles can be really outdated too if you like, perhaps a few Centurions, Leopard 1's, M48's etc.... (Kind of like what we see in Ukraine today) and of course maaaybe some new equipment like the Leopard 2A1 or Chieftain Mk5 if they're lucky! They would also have their Soviet equipment also.

Просто композиция сил была не та, если бы и даже амеры уговорили бы весь НАТО на новую Барбароссу им бы понадобилось перекинуть крайне большое количество сил в Европу что невозможно было бы не заметить, а когда совок это бы заметил напали бы так и так для того чтобы пронести все живое до приезда дополнительных сил, тут хочешь не хочешь но Америка никогда и в никаких обстоятельствах не напала бы, ей это просто не выгодно, прикинь 30-40 лет строить систему и вооружение задача которых нанести максимальный урон врагу в активной обороне а затем маневром откинуть этого противника и так победить в конвенциональной войне, а потом просто сказать "нет я хочу быть агрессором" и затем напасть и обоссаться, если бы и хотели нападать то только подготовка бы заняла 5-10 лет, планы советского руководства всегда строились вокруг того что инициатива на их стороне что первый удар должны делать они, задача была откинуть за рейн, забрать Франкфрут а в теории может и до Ла-Манша дойти потому что это им выгоднее.

If Finland is a Soviet state in this timeline then China is probably a hardcore US ally. The reason why China and the US became close in the 1980s was due to the threat of Soviet to China. Allying with China, which opened up its economy, put huge pressure on to the Soviet Union in the East. This warm relationship ended in 1989 due to both Tiananmen Square and Soviet broke down, so the alliance was not useful anymore. In this timeline, it’s highly likely that China will get even closer to the US, receiving more Western technology and equipment, like American radars, J-8 Peace Pearl, Leopard tank, F-5/F-20, UH-60, TOW missile, French missiles, IFVs, and helicopters, as well as American fighter jet engine etc. it would be amazing if there’s an alternative history China in WARNO with weapons from US-China canceled projecgs
I should say that story is terrible. Inner political situation in Soviet Union stabilized - ok, yet economy became even worse. In such dare situation Pact allies (and army) would send Soviet Union in an interesting place with an idea to start WW3. It could be better if USSR fully recovered economy, after what inspired to attack NATO.
Why? It actally make some sense - USSR are ruled by iron hand, democratization, liberalisation or diplomacy with eastern block is out of option -after soviet's questionable "stabilisation" in thier influence sphere, NATO begins arms race -soviet state is in bad condition, governed by generals and intel officers - NATO "besiges" USSR and starts REFORGER, right when Soviets are the most vurnable state since WW2 - ruling old, military guard belives its a preparation for invasion ( justfied) - pre-emptive strike is ordered ( just like soviet simulation) -
USSR Economy isn't strong to begin with, Even in their highest and most stable. They can survive but not thrive like West. If West stop do business with them completely and put more sanctions (like video describe), It going to get worse. And don't forget with their expansion and venture outside sphere as Arms Revolutionary Groups around the world, Arms Race and recent occupation of Finland (in this scenario) is require a lot of money. If you want Recovered Economy scenario, USSR need to go on CCP route which West didn't sanctions them and They're open for capitalism. (Sound Familiar?) If not, They going to take a long while and not strike at the time WARNO sit in, It would be much later (Late 90s? or Early 2000s?). War in WARNO begin with paranoid and need of distraction, It's reasonable and basic enough for this possible scenario.

Diplomacy is out of option after thier "stabilisation" of eastern block. In such scenario, REFORGER seems like preparation for invasion. When we also add, that USSR is ruled by old (very red) guard, decision of pre-emptive strike is much more sensible. We also have to remember that soviet army was designed for offensive. And why improve economy, when your nation is going to be attacked and you gonna fight on own soil? It's gonna be destroyed anyway.

А почему во всех сценариях злой СССР нападает на Европу . Почему бы не сделать сценарий где бы Америка нападала на СССР?
Потому что США никогда и не собирались на совок нападать, а вот у совка как раз были планы на наступательные действия внутрь НАТО, для того чтобы этот план сработал надо сделать что ? Правильно, напасть.
Просто композиция сил была не та, если бы и даже амеры уговорили бы весь НАТО на новую Барбароссу им бы понадобилось перекинуть крайне большое количество сил в Европу что невозможно было бы не заметить, а когда совок это бы заметил напали бы так и так для того чтобы пронести все живое до приезда дополнительных сил, тут хочешь не хочешь но Америка никогда и в никаких обстоятельствах не напала бы, ей это просто не выгодно, прикинь 30-40 лет строить систему и вооружение задача которых нанести максимальный урон врагу в активной обороне а затем маневром откинуть этого противника и так победить в конвенциональной войне, а потом просто сказать "нет я хочу быть агрессором" и затем напасть и обоссаться, если бы и хотели нападать то только подготовка бы заняла 5-10 лет, планы советского руководства всегда строились вокруг того что инициатива на их стороне что первый удар должны делать они, задача была откинуть за рейн, забрать Франкфрут а в теории может и до Ла-Манша дойти потому что это им выгоднее.

If Finland is a Soviet state in this timeline then China is probably a hardcore US ally. The reason why China and the US became close in the 1980s was due to the threat of Soviet to China. Allying with China, which opened up its economy, put huge pressure on to the Soviet Union in the East. This warm relationship ended in 1989 due to both Tiananmen Square and Soviet broke down, so the alliance was not useful anymore. In this timeline, it’s highly likely that China will get even closer to the US, receiving more Western technology and equipment, like American radars, J-8 Peace Pearl, Leopard tank, F-5/F-20, UH-60, TOW missile, French missiles, IFVs, and helicopters, as well as American fighter jet engine etc. it would be amazing if there’s an alternative history China in WARNO with weapons from US-China canceled projecgs

I should say that story is terrible. Inner political situation in Soviet Union stabilized - ok, yet economy became even worse. In such dare situation Pact allies (and army) would send Soviet Union in an interesting place with an idea to start WW3. It could be better if USSR fully recovered economy, after what inspired to attack NATO.
Why? It actally make some sense
- USSR are ruled by iron hand, democratization, liberalisation or diplomacy with eastern block is out of option
-after soviet's questionable "stabilisation" in thier influence sphere, NATO begins arms race
-soviet state is in bad condition, governed by generals and intel officers
- NATO "besiges" USSR and starts REFORGER, right when Soviets are the most vurnable state since WW2
- ruling old, military guard belives its a preparation for invasion ( justfied)
- pre-emptive strike is ordered ( just like soviet simulation)

Of course, improving economical situation would be better, but USSR dont knows that NATO is not preparing for strike. So preparation for war it is.
USSR Economy isn't strong to begin with, Even in their highest and most stable. They can survive but not thrive like West. If West stop do business with them completely and put more sanctions (like video describe), It going to get worse. And don't forget with their expansion and venture outside sphere as Arms Revolutionary Groups around the world, Arms Race and recent occupation of Finland (in this scenario) is require a lot of money.
If you want Recovered Economy scenario, USSR need to go on CCP route which West didn't sanctions them and They're open for capitalism. (Sound Familiar?) If not, They going to take a long while and not strike at the time WARNO sit in, It would be much later (Late 90s? or Early 2000s?).
War in WARNO begin with paranoid and need of distraction, It's reasonable and basic enough for this possible scenario.

Diplomacy is out of option after thier "stabilisation" of eastern block. In such scenario, REFORGER seems like preparation for invasion. When we also add, that USSR is ruled by old (very red) guard, decision of pre-emptive strike is much more sensible. We also have to remember that soviet army was designed for offensive. And why improve economy, when your nation is going to be attacked and you gonna fight on own soil? It's gonna be destroyed anyway.
