  • Hey guys! We finally purchased a shed and I’m so happy we did. We cleaned out our garage and stored most of our things in to the shed. It took us about 4-5 hours to put this together. It was not easy recording and helping my husband at the same time but I tried my best and I hope 🤞 this helps. We are not an expert, We did make mistakes as the Instructions were not clear but I’m glad we figured out. Thank you so much for watching! If you enjoyed it please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for more and for those who are already subscribed huge thank you! I didn't even think about concret blocks as the base that is simple and easy. Thanks for sharing. 👍 😊

    Just got a Suncast 7X8 shed. This is the best how-to video I've Seen. Perfect step by step setup. The other videos I've seen show it already put together. this is much more informative. Thank you..

    This is great. The instructions only showed a tiny shed. The middle part of the shed roof was not in the instructions, so thank you!

    Great instructional video. I put one together as well and overall a good shed. I found it to be somewhat sturdy but the walls do tend to have some flex and could stand some additional cross bracing; securing the flooring to the foundation helps. In hotter climates the plastic expands a bit making the doors hard to close but as it cools a very smooth door operation. Very nice. Thanks!

    You didn't put your window seals.

    Thanks for posting. It took my wife and I about the same amount of time. It went quite well. Instructions were clear. It`s a really nice and solid shed.

    Haste makes waste...you forgot the gaskets on the windows, and that's a big part to show people how to seal it so water doesn't leak in. It's a particular situation, cutting the rubber cord so its not overlapping (seal not exact), or cutting it a smidgeon short and not sealed that way either. It's how you cut it.

    Did you anchor it to blocks? I have same one I just bought want to assemble and then move to location

    Thanks, very informative video. Are those stepping stones you used for the foundation? Did you use paver sand to hold them together? Did you use landscapping stakes to hold them together, or do you feel the weight will keep them from moving? Are you concerned about strong winds blowing this over? Lastly did you anchor to the foundation or ground?

    I got the same shed at Menards. My only gripe is that the doors don't close very securely. With a padlock on the door they still move in and out a good half inch. Any ideas on making them stay closed with no play?

    Isnt there supposed to have a rubber gasket between the window panel and the frame? There’s a grove in there.

    • @lesliecogan641
      @lesliecogan641 Před 2 lety

      Important part missed. I'll bet money they had to unscrew all those screws and put the gasket in. It's a particular situation on how you cut it, to avoid leaks.
      Do you have this shed and what do you think of it? I bought mine in October and still in box. Weather and money for foundation has delayed it going up, but next week I'll be putting it up

      @@lesliecogan641 nah, I opted for a metal shed from Lark Sheds. Bit more money, but well worth it and much sturdier 10x14

    Hey bro I just got this shed at Menards last week can I just put it on the grass instead of a cement floor? Cause I don't have a concrete floor

    • @AmalAhmed
      @AmalAhmed  Před 5 lety

      bebo 1992 Honestly I think it really depends on how heavy your stuff will be but as long as you have a nice base, either wood or compacted gravel. In our case We used gravel sand, dirt, and pavers because We have heavy stuff in the shed since My Husband work on cars as a hobby so transmissions and other car parts are in there including snowblower, pressure washer, lawn mower and etc. hope this helped as we are not professionals 😊

    • @JessicaSimonson1976

      You may develop moisture issues if just put on grass....also in level surface can cause unnecessary gaps where weather can adversely get through. Says to build on a level surface.
