    Nice colors for watercolor artists and so easy using water, instead of costly mediums! I want to try mica powders..but most of the vids out there are mediums used for acrylic pours, which I don't want to do! I am surprised so far, that I haven't seen any info on what type of medium to mix with powders for just doing abstract paintings!! If you have any info on this, please let me know! Thank you!

      If you’re talking about watercolor, gum arabic is the binder you’re looking for. If you don’t have any on hand, but want to paint now you can use white watercolor (tube) or white gauche as your binder. White watercolor would be best so you wouldn’t have to use as much pigment. I hope this helps!

    Amazing product!! I am guessing the several thumbs down on this video were because CZcams is continuously putting ads along the bottom of your video, cutting off half of your demonstration. Quite irritating. If there was another way to place ads in the video, I highly suggest doing so. I have no problem with ads, understand their purpose but the placement could definitely be better. Thank you for taking the time to create these informational videos. I enjoy watching them and learning new techniques.

    Thanks Vicki for sharing this. I bought your pigment powders as soon as I saw them, even though I wasn't sure what to do with them. But, I knew they would be versatile and you would have tutorial! I can't wait to try the spray and maybe add some perfect pearl to it. And, I want to try mixing it with your glaze, too! Or, maybe try translucent texture paste, just to see what happens!

    I made a mistake by using pigment pen, diluted to watercolor a stamped image in travel planner. It made so many things bleed. Would using pigment powder be less intense or effect other media; or is it just the fact I used water?

    • @VickiBoutin
      @VickiBoutin  Před 4 lety

      Kristin...I suspect it was...the paper! If the paper s really porous...the pigment will bleed into the fibres. Create a practice page in the journal and test different things and vary the amount of water. Place a sheet of paper behind the page (to protect the next page) and when you are done...just cover it with a full photo or patterned paper. Hope that helps!

    • @VickiBoutin
