Good shoes last decades, and even suede rubber sole Tod's don't disintegrate like lesser shoes, mine have lasted for 12 maybe 15 years so far - of course don't wear them everyday. Tod's are priced very reasonably when compared to other craft made fine shoes. The real advantage of Tod's and other fine shoes are the styling, compare a dress shoe or a moccasin from Tod's to a shoe at half the price: compare the shape of the sole, the appearance of the upper, the comfort, the weight, the feel. And think about the health of your foot and your posture. Lesser shoes may have a place in your wardrobe but fine shoes are very important, very cost effective.
