When Speed Is The New Black first started airing in 2017, its creators had high hopes for it. And why would they not? The show had everything needed to be a blockbuster.
First off, it had the backing of the Velocity network, so it was going to be shown on screens all across America. Secondly, it had an amazing name. We mean, Speed Is The New Black is a name that makes you sit up.
You would naturally want to hear what the show was talking about. Despite it being a blatant rip off of the hit show “Orange Is The New Black”, the name of the show instantly calls your attention.
And thirdly, it is a show about cars. We do not mean this to be condescending about car shows in general, but it is very very difficult to get a car show wrong. You actually have to work rather hard at failing at a car show. You don’t only have to work hard at it, you also have to be very imaginative too.
That is because cars are such interesting subjects. All you really need to do is get a crew of gifted mechanics and get them to work on rare and interesting cars. And voila, you have got your successful car show.

They need to bring this series back. Much better than half the shows they have now. Velocity needs to bring it back this year. Even as a summer replacement

I liked the show because they didn't waste time on drama, they built cars. That's why most car guys like to watch car shows, to see them work on cars.
I really liked this show because of the lack of drama. Same reason I hated American Chopper. Wish they’d revive it!

You name a video "The Real Reason Why Speed Is The New Black Ended", babble for 8 minutes, stuff 4 advertisements in, then ask your viewers to answer the question that your video claims to answer in its title. I want my 8 minutes back...
