A fantastic video presentation. I will have two ERA 300 running soon and this video convinced me I am on the right path. I am a recent Sonos convert and love their stuff.
It would be nice to hear this in real time setup with Arc and Subs. It is all good to listen to your insight. Not a single video there yet with proper setup and audio to listen or something. This is all sales and marketing material to me.
i am looking to get the arc and era300s. I see the arc has been out several years. Is there a chance a newer bar will come out soon. Dont want to buy a bar if new one is planned soon. Thanks
is it worth to add a sub mini to a pair of era 300 in a small/medium room for listening music (I guess the sub is too much for such small area), thoughts please?
I would start with the sub mini and then grow to the era 100s as rears. The sub will show the biggest difference and the eras will complete the system.
Yes it does. You can make adjustments to the delay but it’s lowest setting is 75ms. Still a delay. You may notice it or you may adjust to it. It really depends on what source you’re playing. I know some people who dislike the delay especially with turntables because you can still hear the record for a millisecond when you take the needle off of the record.
Those settings are entirely room dependent. During all of my tests I turn off loudness (i prefer my speakers without in on). As for bass and treble I never adjust those settings because I run the trueplay to adjust for the sound of the room. If anything, I’ll adjust the height and the sub output but that is dependent on placement in the room of the sub and where the listening position will be.

Thanks for checking out the video. If we did a sound test video how would you like to hear it? With a good microphone? Or maybe using an RTA?
These don’t work well with the ark. The ark seems to overpower these.
I feel they balance well with the ARC especially when you run true play and adjust the height.
With the right tuning you have a great system
I love the Sonos speakers, but man connecting them to your wi-fi system (especially if they get disconnected somehow) is a pain in the tookus!

Thank you! I really needed this video.
Good stuff

Have a Sonos beam gen 2. Would you recommend the sub mini or one of the new era products to compliment it?

When you connect the 300s via usb-c line does it have the audio delay like the Fives have when connected through their 3.5mm output jack?

When using the Era 300s as surrounds in a home theater setup what settings were used for EQ (bass, treble, Loudness), surround and height levels?
Those settings are entirely room dependent.
