- Description:
In this comprehensive video tutorial, we dive deep into the design process for reinforced concrete two-way slabs, providing a step-by-step guide that follows the guidelines set by Eurocode 2 and the Ethiopian Building Code Standard (EBCS) 2.
Throughout the video, we cover all the essential aspects of two-way slab design, including:
Evaluating loads and load combinations
Analyzing moments and shear forces
Determining the appropriate reinforcement layout
Verifying deflection and crack control measures to ensure serviceability limits are met
Checking the design against shear failure and providing necessary shear reinforcement
Exploring detailed requirements for reinforcement placement and spacing
By adhering to the principles outlined in Eurocode 2 and EBCS 2, we ensure that our design meets both international and local standards, resulting in a robust, safe, and efficient two-way slab system.
great lecture, unity university student thanks. i never commented on youtube this is my first time. just to thank you.
Ok That is good, keep watching and sharing my videos with friends.
greattt. i can understand the thing that i never focus in class
Do we not consider deflection in the long span?
If so l/d actual will it be 6000/d?
great video, my comment is please add formula of ES2 code
How to determine slab thickness if not given
what is the legth of bar at support please clarify it
tnx , but more description would have been great for the detailing part.
Oky Brother I will do an explicit video regarding to detailing
Can you share me BS 8110 Please?
STRUT & TIE MODELS (S-T-M)
Strut(C), Tie (T) and Nodes (N)
Truss Model and slender column based new code
Okay I will brother
in MIN & MAX how to come fctm/fck and bd
design of composite slab by ec 2
Okay I will do that brother
if you have ES2 code please share for me if you can
What about moment adjustment....?
You can do moment adjustment but taking the maximum of the two support moment is more practical.
Berta brother am also a lecture at arbaminch
10q dear brother, waw great job being lecturer
Can you share me excel sheet format and design of slab pdf? Telegram channel please?
why you used Bs8110 code to take the BSX because this design base on Eurocode 2.
Eurocode 2 offers a broad approach to structural design. Still, locally developed tables like those from British Standards can be beneficial when they align with Eurocode's principles. They simplify complex calculations and address specific local needs. Integrating these standards enhances both compliance and practicality in engineering practices.
