  • Are you considering using zeolites? Aquaforest offers a highly efficient Zeo Mix.
    It removes ammonia at an early stage so that it does not enter the aquarium water

    how do we add the heavy metals and elements that he has eliminated while using it, and how often? and what are these elements and heavy metals?

    Hi, please can you tell me what size pump do you recommend for each of your Aquaforest media,reacter when using the stacked media,
    Methods. Thank you Steve 😊

    Hi, I'm planing on running my 400 liter tank on the full aquaforest Pro bio method to keep an sps dominant reef. If I'm putting 3 media's in the same reactor do I still need to use 400ml zeo, 400ml carbon and 400ml phos media and what water flow rate do I need to run through the reactor. Thanks, great videos and stunning tanks 👍

    Dear aquaforest. I want to have a sps tank but first i have led that is 100 watt fore a red sea reefer 170. But i want to have sps coral with yours zeo mix becaus i don.t need to shake daily like other brands. But would you recomend i ore will sps coral dont work under led light? If it wil works does this zeo mix also need a carbon source as food fore the bacteria that wil grow in the zeo mix. If there will be bacteria growth in the zeolite will it still need to changer every 4 weeks or then longer?

      Zeo Mix removes ammonia and nitrite before it becomes nitrate. We recommend to use probiotic bacteria (Pro Bio S) and carbon source (-NP Pro or NitraPhos Minus) for NO3 and PO4 reduction. To support nitrite and ammonia reduction We recommend to use Bio S (nitrifying bacteria).

    Can it reduce nitrate level?

    • @AquaforestEuAF
      @AquaforestEuAF  Před 10 měsíci

      Zeo Mix perfectly absorbs ammonia and ammonium ions in the initial phase thus inhibiting the increase of nitrate concentrations.

    Hi. When you use the stack method i have found the carbon and phosphate minus mix together. Is this ok?..

    Hi deborah/aquaforest
    when it comes to using zeomix am I able to use it without adding carbon sources etc, will it work on it's own as a stand alone product to fine tune my nitrates without the need of having a certain amount of po4 in the water like biopellets.

    • @AquaforestEuAF
      @AquaforestEuAF  Před 5 lety +1

      Hello, Zeo Mix adsorb ammonia and heavy metals. We recommend to dose Pro Bio S ( Probiotic bacteria) and NitraPhos Minus (nourishment for probiotic bacteria) to reduce nitrate and phosphate.

    The video shows that the reactor comes with a ring to hold the sponge in place. This is not the case in the smallest model. False advertising or a massive oversight by Aquaforest?

    • @AquaforestEuAF
      @AquaforestEuAF  Před 6 lety

      Paul Lobster model AF 90 don't have that ring. The AF 110 and 150 Have this extra ring

      @paullobster4606 Před 6 lety +3

      Aquaforest Eu, video does not show this. You are lead to believe that all models have the rings fitted.

    Hi i have you Reactor, carbon phos minus and zeo mix. I have never used zeo mix as i have not found much info. So it reduces Amonia and heavy metals... Is there anything i have to be aware of like it stripping to much out the system... ie metals or elements?

    • @AquaforestEuAF
      @AquaforestEuAF  Před 4 lety

      Like every product - start with half of recommended dose - observe corals. Corals needs to have access to heavy metals that's why it's recommended to test water from time to time with ICP to confirm levels of traces. www.marinlab.com

    I am currently running KZ zeovit system on my tank. To be honest, not impressed and having problems (been working with it at least a year without the success expected). With the need to keep the Ca, MG and KH in a certain range and availability of salt, seems i am always chasing numbers..... I have a mixed reef system and currently run Aquaforest Reef Salt (love the salt). I am considering switching to Aquaforest solution for a low nutrient system. Couple of questions to start off with:
    1. on a KZ zeovit system you have to shake the zeo stones a couple of times a day. Now i know the AF stones do not need it, however will it hurt to shake (I currently have my Avast automatic reactor setup on my Apex). Does it hurt, help or will not matter to shake them?
    2. Do you have a guide to convert from KZ system to an AF system?
    3. KZ has a detailed breakdown of how to do things, does AF have something similiar
    www.korallen-zucht.de/cms/files/zeoguide_103_english-1.pdf
    4. does AF offer any trade in programs for KZ products to convert over?
    5. More details around integrating what products in dosing pumps (currently have 2 Pacific Sun ones), which ones need refrigerated, etc.....
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. if you have an email account that could help directly, please advise.

    • @AquaforestEuAF
      @AquaforestEuAF  Před 5 lety

      1. Yes you can shake them if you want to. It does not hurt.
      2 and 3:
      We have our own guide:
      aquaforest.eu/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/AF_Products-Guide_EN_WEB_02.01.19.pdf?fbclid=IwAR1g1247i3RERIVJo4UoWxeteJDgfEg-LZOqjgmeXZY6_rEWfXeaQcJdzlE
      4.
      No. We don't practice this kind of programs.
      5.
      On our website in descriptions of each supplement of corals you can read:
      aquaforest.eu/en/product/af_amino_mix/
      1 drop per 100 l (27 US gal) of water every other day after lights out. Do not dilute. Do not mix together with other products in one container. The product can be dosed by a dosing pump, provided it dispenses with drops. Once opened store in the fridge, if the temperature exceeds 24°C (75°F).

  • @andresparedesredondo8837

    Hello Deborah. How long do you have to change the three products?

    Can you use zeo mix or other filtration media with a refuge

    • @AquaforestEuAF
      @AquaforestEuAF  Před 6 lety

      Sure, it depends of your corals needs. But Zeo Mix could adsorb elements what are needed for refuge.
