Part 1 - reviewing the Challenger and the differences in the Automatic. The auto gets MDS lifters and different cam. The 6 speed gets a roller cam and lifters
I have a 2014 100 year anniversary challenger in a manual transmission with 90k miles which I love dearly to this day and have no desire to let go of anytime soon 🤗🤗🤗🤗🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Nice car!! I looked at a manual Shaker Scat Pack yesterday. Frostbite blue. Loved the car. Red six piston Brembos. In the end I wanted the T/A more so went with it. Sublime Green auto T/A. I can't wait to drive it next week. I noticed the TA had gray calipers and one piece rotors. Not sure why they would have 4 piston on a TA and 6 piston on a standard SP car.
@@BBBILLY86 You can get the six piston but I wanted the 4 piston it is less weight and cost on replacing those disk and pads are really high. The 6 piston brakes will put you through the windshield. The TA also used to be 1/2” lower not sure if that is the case anymore.
@MrWrestler41 Good to know on the replacement cost. Plan on keeping the car a while. Yea those 6 pistons were touchy on the test drive. I have 16 shoes and they barely fit between the console and brake pedal. Twice shifting my gas shoe hit the corner of the brake pedal. That was a wake up for the passenger.
@@tezalehall2818 Obviously the 6 piston stop good but unless you’re tracking the car you don’t need them the 4 piston are great. Seems to be good enough for the demon. To each their own but due to weight and size you cannot put the drag pack wheels on it otherwise. Thanks for commenting love to hear peoples thoughts. Keep them coming
@@DKLabs99 Thanks for the tip, I will try that. I ordered some Chemical guy stuff, it is the Meticulous Matte Detailer Spray & Sealant for Crisp Satin & Matte Finishes. I will do a quick video on it when it comes in
I have 2020 50th anniversary numbered car RT shaker hood. Same color combo. Shaker painted same color as the car. First time ever. I really enjoy my car. An yes automatic systematic driving machine 😊😊😊
Just look at the Demon 170.. they have widebody on the rear of the car only.. If your gonna put WB fenders on It, I would suggest all 4, even the 170's look weird IMO.. and Not the original 2018 Demon, they have all 4, but the new Demon 170 is rear only.
why would you use launch with a manual ? I wanted that cinnamon in TA but settled for frostbite blue ,,Im not real impressed with the tranny ,shifting is any thing but smooth ,I rev match and double clutch which really help but if your shifting for speed its a bit brutal ,,very knuckled ,, terrible synchros , and going into 5-6 gear is kinda gross ,,I love the car but feel like I got a lemon ,,4500 miles and already has an annoying engine tick
@@billhamilton7524 The Tremec in these are good which is weird yours is doing that. Have the dealership do a fluid change. Not sure why it is ticking since you do not have the MDS lifter in the manual. Try some amsoil motor flush
@@MrWrestler41 as far as the tranny I guess thats relative but the engine is brand new ,not a lot to flush out ,this thing calls for 0 - 20 oil ,,its like water so I went with 5-30 which is what they used a couple years ago ,I think they went thinner oil for better gas mileage ,,,anyway it didn't get rid of the tick and we all know the dealers gonna say ,, its normal , But you cant tell me 5 and 6 dont suck the way you have to fight that spring and btw mines just a 5.7 liter
@@Sysaphys The crazy thing is I get better fuel economy than the Auto with MDS. I am averaging almost 19 and can get 27 on the highway at 75. More Government overreach crap
I bought mine when I was 25 in 2017 I still own it today. Green go color fully loaded with the hood pins. Love the car still.
@@kingcatx2
Have you had it to the track? I had a 2017 TA Auto I was able to get 12.03 at 115 on drag radials
My 2017 scat shaker has 12.3 as its fastest pass with the manual. Bought it new but I got less than 2000 miles on it @MrWrestler41
The manual was def the right move. Great color choice too!
Congratulations 🎉 Got a scat pack last call and I love it.
9k off that's great. Bought mine last August for msrp and was happy with that, but definitely would have been nice to get a discount. Enjoy

Congratulation, what color did you get? Manual or Auto?

6 spd the way to go if you want fun. It changes the whole drivability. I’m sure that’s a blast to drive.

Love the car and you’re right that manual is a blast. I will take some driving video.

I'm pretty sure the Demon 170 has the flares on the rear only.

I looked and the Demon has front and rear. I am thinking that might be a cool look for a drag car

Mds was definitely the worst thing Dodge did with the scats as well as the ride height from factory.

The only reason I bought the manual was no MDS. It would have been nice to offer the MDS as on option on the auto.
