I see her every morning and every afternoon. I had so much fun on this day at school. They said we had all school chapel but never told us or the teachers what was happening so they could get raw footage. I saw the string quartet practicing in the parking lot and I was so confused. In chapel I stood with everyone else for a hour. I loved this whole thing. When the mayor got up I knew it was important. When he said the words “you don’t give the key to your house to just anyone.” I knew where he was going!

A few days ago I drove by MTCS and saw Miss Bitsy directing traffic as school let out. I was already driving slow so I rolled down the window and yelled “can I have your autograph”? I saw it register on her face what I said and then she really started laughing, as she continued that zen-like movement with her arms directing traffic. What a cool lady !!!

I see Ms Claudia or “Bitsy” from time to time when I drive by MTCS. But how I remember her and think of her is how she stood with me when my dad Dr. Edgar Beaty died 10 years ago. There is something very special about this lady, and I’m so happy to see her honored this way. ❤️😍❤️😍
