  • When Ugandan dictator Idi Amin expelled the country's Asian population, Leicester City Council ran a campaign advising them not to come to Leicester.
50 years later, Leicester is the first UK city with a majority nonwhite population with just 41% of the city identifying as white.
Given the state current political discourse around immigration, refugees, and migrants Ed Campbell went to Leicester to find out what they really think about immigration.
    This is Extreme Britain.

Well things has change. I'm from one of those Caribbean island where our prime minister offers( still offering) families lots of free lands in return they invest in the country. What most if those people does, they came invest a bit and bring their entire family. I came from a town with about 400 persons, today we are 1450 and I heard every different languages spoken. The first thing that came to mind was, wow Caribbean people are the most open minded. My best friend parents , got the land they were offered with promised to invest, unfortunately their plan didn't came true . They were giving three years. Three years has passed and they are settled. Still they could not invest and was ask to give back the land, which they'd not, because they sued and won.

yes I would love to know where the people who support mass immigration live. I moved to the south west from Birmingham as I was sick of being looked at like a slab of meat and one incident that sticks out to me was when I gave my boyfriend a little kiss in the street a large group of men started shouting ‘harem’ at us. Im sorry, but in UK public displays of affection are legal. These same groups loiter around the gay clubs shouting abuse. They also get violent and the police have to wait outside the clubs to keep a handle on it. You cant be both pro-LGBT and pro-uncontrolled immigration. Leads me to believe the people who support this replacement have just never been in a situation where they are the only white in the room.

I always think of when the Vikings invaded England. They founded colonies (or captured cities) that supported their culture and ideals. Eventually when the warring stopped, a lot of these Scandinavian people would convert to Christianity, and/or probably take English wives and husbands. They assimilated. What's happening today is similar, except theirs no assimilation. British cities are essentially again becoming colonies, this time from people predominantly from the Middle East. These communities have built mosques, their own shops and food from their homeland. They speak their own language and follow their own rules outlined by their faith. They also have birthrates higher than the natives and pretty much only marry their own. And as you would expect, this leads to more and more white people moving away from these areas. Try to picture what these cities will look like in two or three generations.

My city is now unrecognisable from where I grew up in. I feel like a stranger in my own city. Watch the video again most of the people you see walking past are non white. It's not just about being non white people, it's about all the other non English communities we have now. Ukrainian, Polish,Romanian, and other Eastern europeons communities. But the biggest, most recent influx we have is Muslims. Afghans, Somalians, Pakistanis, Syrians, Iraqis, etc. Totally changing our culture, and taking over. Our pubs have gone, our churches have gone, were not allowed to celebrate st George's day anymore, cus it may cause offence? . This is actually a very good question and quite profound. It would also be interesting also to know the percentage of people that have been forced to say it in a social situation in defence (this is purely out of interest, nothing more). It also raises the question of "reverse" racism, for example, I have been in a discussion before where the other person was clearly racist but claimed it was impossible for them to be black and racist, as if it only applies to white people and the 2 could not co-exist. Everyone is an ethnic minority somewhere. I wish people would just stop all the natter and just get on personally, I understand why the debate is needed especially when you look around, but I also think it creates barriers and keeps us in the past. People will be as they are but it has to eventually blow away when all the die hards are gone. Well that's my hope anyway.

My greatest concern is that we were never asked, there was no vote - the powers that be just decided it would happen, and here we are. Now if you're somebody who's here and enjoying a much better life than you would be in your country of origin, surely you'd respect our thoughts and concerns on this matter, and understand that for many of us there is nowhere else to go. Imagine for a moment if somebody moved into your house and slowly started to change the decor, style and furnishings of the place, then started a family and were beginning to repurpose the upstrairs bedrooms to suit their needs, would you feel at home any more? or would you feel side-lined and frustrated? My guess is you'd be furious actually, but you're unable to do anything about it because the police will arrest you if you complain. They will arrest you even if you make a post about the situation online which is deemed to be too offensive, so you're also forced to walk on egg-shell making matters worse. Looking to the future, we may be a minority in our own country at some point this century - at that point will we be considered an ethnic minority? Will be finally qualify as having 'protected characteristics'? Or will the tune suddenly change to 'the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few', where then steps are taken to deal with this oppressive minority group. There ius no guarantee of peace, there is no guarantee of harmony, and right now all we're told is that white people are the root of all evil in the world - that we're priveligded even as we're rejected from the RAF, because of how we look. Does that bode well for us? To me it seems clear what will happen, but I'll leave you to figure that out using your own imagination.

I'm from one of these places that has drastically changed so I'll tell you my experience and it's probably one that is consistent with many others.
My family have been from the same area for literally hundreds of years.
My ancestry is intrinsically entwined with the fabric of this area.
I have memories of shops, pubs, parks, libraries, restaurants, streets, houses etc and the communities that lived in them.
I'm not from a wealthy area but I was from a respectable one.
Now I don't recognise any of it anymore.
The shops are all closed or changed to have names in other languages that I don't understand.
The streets are full of rubbish and old mattresses and fridges.
The pubs and libraries are closed down and demolished.
The restaurants all have food that doesn't try to cater to me.
The parks are full of gangs.
I get stared at in the street sometimes because I am now a minority.
I very rarely hear my own language being spoken in the place that I grew up. In the place that my family have been for generations.
It makes me really sad because I don't want to feel the way that I do about this - I just want it to feel like my home again and a place that I can be proud of.

In fact, Canada took 8 months to go from 40 million people to 41 million people this year, the majority of which went to a handful of major cities with Toronto at the top. It's the fastest population growth in Canada's history, and the biggest percentage jump in population since 1957 when we had 15 million people and took in a lot of Hungarians following the failed anti-communist revolution there.
But, all will end well, I'm sure! This certainly won't strain our social services, job sectors, or housing at all. All we have to do is make any problems legal and they disappear!

People vote with their feet. They know the ballot box has never worked. So they move. I envisage in the not too distant future you will start seeing similar movements of western european legacy ethnicities moving out to southern/central/eastern europe, just as they have deserted cities like Leicester for the regions within England, so in time will they feel sufficiently threatened to desert England more generally.
If this channel was really interested in providing a balanced picture, they'd travel to all the outlying towns where likely many of the tens of thousands of white Brits who have fled Leicester in the prior decades have ended up & see how much they like the Leicester of today. Just as stark as the immigration boom in Leicester is the number of white Brits leaving, falling from an estimated 265,000 in the 1960s to just 122,000 by 2021 - a figure significantly supplemented by white British students who will most likely also leave after their studies.
After the 2011 census I did a statistical analysis of all the local authorities bordering greater London - which of course itself saw half a million white Brits desert it in a decade (despite the ONS predicting the opposite just months prior). As was expected, the correlation between the existing portion of white Britons in a local autority, be it 90% or 50%, exhibited an almost perfect positive correlation (0.95) to the number of additional White Brits it attracted between 2001 and 2011.
But of course, its all just coincidence, im sure.

Look at what the media says about São Paulo now and look at what São Paulo was 70 years ago, before the migration of millions of people from Northeastern Brazil, and you will get an idea.

youre just lying, or youre talking about an adhd diagnosis or some shit. Also you can go private if you want and its still orders of magnitiude cheaper than the usa. In my life ive never had medical debt compared to 1 in 10 americans who have more than $10k in medical debt. We take so much for granted in the uk.

Gloucester is another example of an exceedingly diverse city.
While immigration and asylum is not inherently a bad thing, we shouldn't be scared to face the reality that we cannot provide for everybody.
The UK is experiencing a huge cost of living crisis, with many British citizens now going hungry or facing homelessness. I believe we need to sort our own people out before we're in a position to accept more refugees, but hey, who cares?
