Had the pleasure of driving my mom's c250 coupe 3 hours to a place and 3 hours back. Smooth, quiet ride, great steering feel, and a great interior made it an absolute joy.
Thanks for the compliment. There is a review of the 328i now on the AutoGuideVideo channel.
Best reviews on youtube as far as I'm concerned.
this guy always does great reviews...i hope he does the new BMW 3 or 4 series or whatever is coming next!
My C250 was a CPO purchase 10 years ago. Later I got married . We all know how that goes....................Only failure was the ESL which cost a grand to fix (Extended warranty cut that in half). It's a beautifull little coupe (and my wife loves it. I drive a Jetta.
Nice review, although it would be helpful to demo the vehicle and show some of the features mentioned in the review.
why was the fuel consumption said in MPG for a Canadian channel?
Not to mention this car is now 25k used with under 20k miles. That's fairly reasonable for such a nice car, compared to what else costs 25k from America.
I have the orginal C230 coupe and it is a very well made. I like the styling and for it day the pricing was great. Now at 40K that is crazy I have 190 HP and was over 10K less than todays model. Those extra 10HP cost 10K more than mine that is carzy.
Was this filmed in Toronto? :D
All AutoGuide specs (including pricing) are US.
Don't know what he's on about but my 2012 C class definitely doesn't sound like a diesel.
Dang, it's 2021 now and I'm looking at one of these cars for around $10k.
@Fussinated amen
if power alone was the most important player in the game, everyone would drive old corvettes. The C250 accelerates well, better than VW GTI (or around there), and if you don't load it with options, the price is quite reasonable for what you get, imho. The looks of the C-class coupe is VERY similar to the previous generation of Honda Accord Coupes. I was shocked when I first saw the C-coupe, having driven the Accord before.
I think I would pay the premium for this car, but only because of that luxury car driving experience you can get when you don't want to drive like a madman. Other cars such as the 3-series don't have this and usually feel a bit stiff around town.
You thought is so vague. The way you comparing is not make sense. C250 Coupe is Sport Luxury. G37 hasn't as good image brand as MB.
wow that screen is big :)
Contrast this to AutoGuide's review of the C250 sedan, which is much more favorable.
same
Yessss 😍
This car is awesome
My 03 c230 cpe has a lush interior, all leather, working panorama roof, stereo, and NO SEATBELT WARNING SIGNAL. 3500.
Truth. Most people only get one or two Benz's in their lifetime if they are fortunate enough. Might as well make the most of it.
jazon345 I’m 31 and on my second Mercedes Benz C class. I plan to get the E Class by 33 years old
@@armeltheone1 did you get the E class bro? And how was your C class experience?
damn how tall is this dude?? his head is nearly touching the sunroof lmaoooo
if it had the little things like the xenon lamps and idk 100 extra horsepower even this car would be better worth its price.
I'd take a C350 instead. I know this 201HP 4 banger is all that I need but I prefer the smooth and quiet V6 motor which suits a luxurious and somewhat sporty car like this far more. The funny thing is I see tons of C250s out on the road (leases of course), people just want a Benz for the badge rather than optioning it out correctly and driving what is a genuine Benz.
What's wrong with a diesel
Just drove from Adelaide to Melbourne ... about 730k and the seats in my 250coupe 2013 are absolutely crap... Could not walk after the trip ... AND the car cost AUD85,000 here.... THATS 62,00 US $$$$. !!!
Yes and if your over 6 foot there is a problem with the headliner and grease of the glass roof....... the seat can not go lower enough for a 6ft 3 person.
$45k and no projector headlights? wow...
I'd easily get a G37 over this car -.- I love this guy's reviews though :D
No offense but those cars are slow for what they are 😂 I bought a srt and loved it but with no mds the gas kills me. This c250 gets great gas mileage and it doesn’t pick up bad. The g37 doesnt seem worth it but I would probably get a G35 as a drift car
he looks like stu from the hangover
That's a bet you'd lose. Don't go around making stupid assumptions, I wasn't knocking the car anyway. I've been saving and will be be able to purchase a new C350 year from now in full with cash. I plan on keeping it 10+ years anyway so I rather purchase it in full so I can say I own my car.
although better than C230 (2002) hatchback, still not better than Infiniti G25 or IS250, but the price is like a flag, up there. Dont fool yourself for the TriStar Emblem.
Most Owners of this C250 know nothing about the 201hp means. The want a BENZ, period.
Otherwise, they will go with a 328i
I hear the engines can fly 100 feet during a crash and can spontaneously explode and consume the car and driver in flames.
thought at the end he said Mercedes-Benz vag...
i would get a bmw x5 2007
0 TO 60 in 7.2 seconds? My 06 honda accord I4 (166HP) gets to sixty in about 7.5 seconds and with honda reliabilty I have never had any issues. This car is way over priced.
I don't know if it has excellent fuel economy. I mean the Lexus IS 250 has 21/29 MPG since 2006 with its 6 cylinder engine.
Still rather have the A5 2.0T for the same price.
I work at carmax in the summers when im not in school and drove quite a few of these things. Firstly, these things are maintenance nightmares the majority of these cars that are low mileage and only a couple years old are having shit break like crazy. Second, they feel painfully slow to drive and the gas pedal needs alot of pushing before the car even moves, its really odd. But on the upside the seats are really nice, and also most of these have orange peel too but theyre still almost brand new. Which i really dont understand
Really? Because I was always under the impression the W204 is one of the most reliable Benzes on the market.
and i know this post is old but yes the w204 is the most reliable benz u can buy specially if ya got the one that runs on E85 omg its a beast on that stuff..that guy must have gotten fired or sumthin cuz hes salty on the benz gee i wonder why
BS. It is 2022 and my 2015 C class has had no problems. Tons of power at low RPM, too…it is quick.
Simmer down. I guess working hard and putting money aside automatically makes me a basement dweller and a moron if I follow your mentality. I like the C350, it's the perfect size and the E Class is too much car for me. You think I'm bullshitting when I say that a good chunk of C250 drivers are just in it for the badge? Just wait and see how successful the CLA250 will be when it arrives here in NA due to the low lease plans available.
Seriously.. No Xenon lights on this car?!?
nice review but needs to stop saying the word "actually" ...mighty annoying rookie mistake at 2:52 saying it three times in one run-on sentence....
You are incorrect again. Visit ANY Mercedes dealership and ask them about the rates they will be having on the new CLA coming in September. The demand will be high, so will the leas payments. I'm 20 years old, drive a Mercedes C-250 (insurance rates will be higher on the c300 and c350) AND bought my first 2,200 square feet house in Las Vegas, Nevada. My point is, just because you drive a c250, does not mean you are "optioning it out incorrectly"...
It's a " COO PAY " Not a "Coo p"
$37k for this little coupe? Knock $10k off the price and then I might be interested.
@atkingsolomon1 they got boring, they are every where -_-
Do not want =/ what a weak Merc.... it looks sexy... but the performance... dafuq. Sport coupe.. really? Makes no sense.
Could've just kept it as a V6 engine with a turbocharger to improve fuel economy.
It's a sexy interior though.
Not enough power to justify its price tag
His head is rubbing the roof.
He says, "Or, if you simply can't bring yourself to buy Japanese . . ." so, my question is this: Why can't Americans bring themselves to buy Japanese? I'm serious here. Is it because it's not patriotic and doesn't support the home grown auto industry, or because of WWll, or for something more obscure? Let me explain that my parents didn't buy Japanese not just because of the war, because after buying lots of British Leyland cars (uncannily built directly before tea breaks, albeit decades apart), they bought German. In my Dad's case it was because of how the Japanese treated their POWs. The senior partner of my Dad's firm had been a British POW on the Death Railway (made infamous in the movie: Bridge Over the River Kwai). For a mere infraction - insubordination - his captors cut out all his teeth with a rusty old tin can. Every time my Dad looked at his boss he was reminded of this fact; consequently as a driver, he avoided buying Japanese cars until the 21st Century. Now he always buys Jap. Plus there was a huge "BUY BRITISH" campaign in the 70s. All of this rubbed off on me, an impressionable young bloke who as soon as I could, bought "Brit S - it over Jap C - ap", mostly Triumphs: Thunderbird, Trophy, Daytona, Bonneville and Triton (with slimline featherbed chassis). So yeah, my question is why, in this day and age, can't Americans "bring" themselves to buy Japanese? (In fact this presenter fails to mention the Infiniti G37 Coupé is a Nissan.)
Just one little niggle, and I apologise for this, but the presenter makes a coupe sound like somewhere the chickens hang out. It should be coupé to rhyme with souffle (or if you're Spanish speaking American, Guadalupe not Guadeloupe).
2.27 "Sounds like a Diesel". Ya mine is The Diesel!!😳
I doubt he´s driven too many diesels, us Europeans know what a real Diesel sounds like!I
My uncle has this car full package and he's switching to the bmw m4 which is coming out soon the m4 looks like a beast it's 84k!
Who wants an Nissan or a BMW when you can have a Mercedes Benz
I got a Ferrari 360 and like this but it seems though you get these because you like them everyone assumes you're a douche
Nice looking car
wrx sti 2012 i would rally better car
yeah but you are paying for a Japanese car instead of German machine :)
$15K lol
This car explodes and kills for no reason. Research micheal hastings r.i.p. mate
R.I.P. however that doesn't mean an entire line of cars "explodes and kills for no reason" try being a little more realistic in your thought process.
His car was tampered with the night before because he didn't write what somebody wanted him to write in the paper... He was in some bad dealings with some bad people.
One old guy in Canada complains he couldn't get hip surgery for 6 months, not explaining that he was told it wasn't necessary and other surgeries would be more effective. Millions of people start saying how Canada's health system fails all Canadians due to extensive waiting. People like to generalize and sensationalize when they have no actual facts to illustrate an inaccurate conclusion. Remember this is CZcams, a forum for personal opinions, very few supporting facts to support people who like to paint with a broad brush.
ripoff... my 73k miles, 2008 bmw 750Li was bought for under 30k... this "pretty" car is not worth it
Michael Hastings
Why tf you talking about bmw
G37 is just so ugly though.
I can not , will not , would not drive Japanese !!
There you go ... nice summary; if you buy this car, you are a badge fanatic. Period.
but its a mercedes lol........
Yes they do!....and here's video proof:/watch?v=3LSY3wVuASg
I bet you can't even afford a C250 coupe. I have the C250. It's fine. But if you want a genuine Mercedes you do not go for C class, e.g. C350 . You go for S class and above (SL, SLK, SLS G etc etc.).
film your face less and the car more ...
I like more the ....... iphone
Thats a girly car. Wouldnt buy it.
Never buy this car!
@AshGiles sounds to me like the guy had it coming to be fair ---- Witnesses said Hastings' Mercedes coupe, traveling at a speed of perhaps 100 mph, ran a red light, veered onto a grassy median strip, plowed into a palm tree and exploded in flames
Avoid this car, people blow up and die when you hit a tree.
10 Years later, this car is still my favourite. the 2012 C-250 hasn't gotten old 10 years later.
I’m about to buy this car
Just bought mine today can’t wait
@@lccashbabyhow do you feel about it now? I’m looking into getting one myself.
