The tibial tuberosity advancement (including MMP) is associated with significantly higher risk of postoperative meniscal injury when compared to TPLO (30% versus 6%). I believe that it is a great osteotomy procedure for people not experienced in plating, etc. The TPLO is the best procedure out there when comes to outcome, complications, etc. That is not to say the TPLO is not associated with complications, but the fact is that anyone who does both MMP and TPLO does TPLO preferentially in the vast majority of cases.
I also love this one. Very informative and fun to learn.
perfect , thank you
Wish you had mentioned the Modified Maquet Procedure (MMP). That is my preferred procedure IF I can find a surgeon who does it.
