Important points about alkanes-
Ch4 is marshy gas
Calore gas is mixture of n butane and isobutane
LPG is mixture of liquid propane and isobutane
Natural gas contain 80%methane and 10%ethane 10%propane
Water gas contain CO+H2
Synthesis gas contain CO+3H2
tomorrow is my chem term 2 i thought about skipping ncert for this chapter as the preparation got messed up this year...but this video boosted my confidence that i should keep trying...
21:13 correction sir🙋♀️ , even it is not possible to get propane from kolbes electrolysis becoz it only gives even no. Of carbon atoms .🙂

It is possible only thing u should understand is the yield of the unsymmetric alkane in kolbes electrolysis will be poor . Same goes for wurtz reaction

17:14 here the example you gave is wrong. Only even number of carbon atoms can be present in the alkane formed this way.
at 17:30 three compounds can be formed

is it enough for solving ncert exercise?
and if you study it for the first time with basic goc concept? actually i have final exams so i have to finish it quick
@@bloommmm no it's not enough for studying first time from ncert ..GOC requires a lot of practice if u will study directly from ncert you will be confused ..
For reading ncert first go and watch pankaj Sir's video or any other whom you follow ( a one shot lecture 1hr-2hr )
And then come here .
