  • The Midnight Forge Broadsword is part of a Honshu special edition series that takes the popular sword to a new level of modern and sleek design with tactical engineering and perfect blade-to-hilt balancing. It has a razor-sharp, 33 3/8” black 1060 high carbon steel blade that has a partial blood groove, which leads up to the hefty traditional handguard. The rugged TPR hilt gives you a no-slip grip and both handguard and pommel are grey tini-finished stainless steel. The 43 1/2" overall length broadsword fits securely in a black wooden scabbard that includes a leather belt hanger. Honshu continues to expand its exceptional sword line and this sleek, tactical broadsword is a must-have for your collection!

It says it comes razor sharp and fits securely in the scabbard. Mine came dull and the scabbard just falls off.

Welcome to United Cutlery: Where advertised statements are just a suggestion. LOL. Mine came with an Ok edge, but being quite the razor bug I am, I used my sharpening kit to give it a shaving sharp edge. It also had a decently fitting scabbard, but in my opinion, a scabbard that drags on a longer sword blade too much is something I don't really like and I'd rather avoid that if possible.

@@andyappleton3353 I have a WorkSharp Ken Onion Edition and some sharpening stones I got from my grandfather when he died. I think they were vintage. No labels on em.
