I hear that. It takes the time that it takes. Most people ask, well, when do you finish, how much longer do you have, are you done yet. This is the wrong question to ask in my opinion. With no support, minimal resources, barely getting by financially; program completion takes time. Rather ask, how am I doing. Provide money for food, books, transportation to and from classes and job. I credit him for sticking with and completing his academic programs. God bless Dr. Webb. TY

Idk Dr. Webb personally, but he's an awesome CZcamsr. I'm a Black Hispanic female who's working on becoming a physician associate. If the MD route allowed you to switch specialties like the PA route, I would have went that route just because I love school and getting an education. My specialty is Cardiology so I'm getting an education now in Cardiovascular Technology to soon work in the Cath lab and then move on to CVOR. I would love to work on cardiac surgery. As a female many people might not want a female "surgeon" but I will definitely earn their trust by starting from the bottom as a technologist then move on to become a PA and help out the surgeon by being his First Assist and hoping he will allow me to do the max. Amount of support!
I really like Dr Webb, he's such a inspiration towards people that want to pursue medicine regardless of your background or experiences you've gone through you can really accomplish anything or be anything you want to be. I do like field of nursing which is the career I want to go first and my plan is after spending a few years in the nursing field I'd like to transition to medical school to become a physician as it's my dream career since I was 13. Currently a pre-nursing major so it'll definitely be a very long journey but I believe that I have a very strong work ethic to make my dreams come true and that it'll be worth it.
Why don't you take the time just go to med school, because you are winding yourself in debt unless you are supported with payments for your degree. Believe in yourself that you can go medical school and that you accomplish all you desire.
I've met a few nurses who went back to medical school and became physicians. As Dr Webb said, nurses make great doctors because they view medicine from a more gentle and caring perspective.

Women definitely have it a lot harder. I see it here with my female counterparts too. Most of the nurses I work with are single-income earners who care for their children or have stay-at-home husbands.
