13 MEN DEAD IN FRESH VIOLENCE IN MANIPUR | PEACE AND HARMONY STILL A DISTANT DREAM

The lifeless bodies of the 13 men were taken to Taraothel Andro, Imphal East, for their last rites yesterday evening.
Large number of crowd gathered at multiple locations on their way from the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal (JNIMS) and lit candles and showered flower petals to show respect to the departed souls.
Earlier: Security forces had found the bullet-riddled bodies of the 13 Meitei men in Leithu - a forested area not far from the Myanmar border - on Monday after receiving inputs of a gunfight in the area around 10.30 am.
