The brand new, state-of-the-art Jonesborough Elementary School and Middle School is slated to open this August 2023. Both schools will be housed in that large building.
9:08 I’m from Washington county and I remember it it was an old truck with a mail in the hood and it was about drunk driving I’m not sure what ever happened to it
The reason why a lot of subdivisions are going up is because that land was formerly farmland and farmers would rather sell the land for the millions of dollars being paid them. Where I live in the Lamar Community in South Wash Co. has seem farmland disappear under subdivisions even though the "master plan" designates this area to agriculture. As the old saying goes, Money talks...
Johnson City's roads are horrible. They don't seem to keep any of them paved, even in the so-called "wealthy" areas, like along Claude Simmons Road near the Strawberry Fields subdivision (NOT named after the Beatles tune).
Too late! Subdivisions are popping up like mushrooms after a rain storm. What's worse, is they're so expensive the kids who's gown up here can't afford it, nor can they afford the outrages prices for apartments. $1200 for a 2 bedroom? WTH?

O gosh - I hope people don’t move here - and become a traffic nightmare

I would not buy anything Horten builds, heard horror stories! It's a shame that Jonesborough has grown like this.
Agreed!
