I don't think 8 gig options should be even considered here, the same applies to all options with gamut considerably lower than full srgb. Both would be terrible choice for anything photography oriented.

I have the Asus Zenbook Pro 15 Oled and the Arc A370M has a severe compatibility issue with the AI denoise that's in photoshop. At first it would remove all of the color and darken the image, but that was fixed with the newest drivers. Now it's just incredibly slow. My almost 4 year old MSI with I7 9750 and Nvidia 1650 processes the photos in less than one minute and the A370M takes from 3 to sometimes 37 minutes.

Thinking about buying a laptop, not going to use a external monitor most of the time, need an accurate screen and like to work in a very bright room or even outside. Is there any laptop that has a bright accurate screen? Apple macbook pro maybe? I prefer 16inch as a size.

The requirements for Photoshop and Lightroom 2023 are listed as 8 core CPU, a dedicated graphics card and 16GB RAM. 512GB of storage. I took a Graphics Design course and my/any budget laptop is not strong enough.

As software evolves hardware has too and Photo and a video editing is not the exception. What enough today, tomorrow will be obsolete, so just check recommended system requirements for that specific piece of software as buying guide. Simple as that.

So many people are having to replace their laptops due to the new PS and LR requirements. Especially people using Apple like I am. You can’t upgrade items so you’re forced to replace the entire thing. That being said, not even with Apple would I go 8GB.

After 12 years on a Mac, I switched to a Dell XPS 9570 for editing. Crazy hardware, performance, and possibly the best screen I’ve ever seen- 4K touch screen, 100% RGB color accuracy, gets bright as hell for outdoor use. BUT I found Windows to be insanely irritating compared to MacOS, to the point of being unusable. So I sold my beloved XPS and went back to an M2 MacBook Pro. Sooooo much smoother workflow than Windows.

Not a Creator, but I run macros, web scrape data, and daily trading for finance. Need a dedicated GPU, 32GB Ram. Using Slim 7 Pro X, Ryzen 9. Hope my screens keep up! Is Mac safer while on the Internet?

Hello, I want to take quality pictures with my laptop, use brother sewing machine/embroidery software, circuit, scan & cut, also business excel and Microsoft. What I think I need is a fast processor, a lot of storage, great camera, touchscreen, most battery life. Which one would be your recommendation without breaking the bank?
