I don't think I can remember a time when so many top guys could win any race or round.
Normally there are two or three only and an occasional outsider but now there are at least 8.
And that makes it exciting knowing so many guys can win.
You also didn't have many racers racing past 30. There's a lot more older pros than the last 40 years.
I feel the racing is a little boring now though. You don't see many good battles anymore after a couple laps. Everyone is so close on pace that the start is super important
I was there and RC was exactly right when he said that Jett was playing with fire on the right side of that whoop section all night...Jett had his own line and was blitzing them on the edge right alongside the tough blocks. He was passing guys there all night until they started jumping through them. I wondered why no one else was doing it - He tried on the last lap and it bit him. Eli was absolutely on fire in race 3 ! He looked like the Tomac we all know !!!
Ricky adds invaluable insight. He literally called that in the first or second race, and Jett blows a podium AND points lead on the LAST LAP 😮
I think Jett thought this Supercross season was going to be a cakewalk and now he's realizing that he has very very serious competition which is a good thing because only the die hard Jett fans want a runaway . No question that Jett is capable of still running away with it , he's an amazing talent but I hope this season is an all out brawl to the death.
This has been a stupid start. 2 mud races and a triple crown which is a dumb format. I think Jett will dominate in normal races. Btw I like Webb. I just think Jett is the best out there

Weege was born to commentate. Always knows exactly what to say, never trips up his words and gets genuinely excited. Very knowledgeable too and is a genuine fan of the sport. Great journalist too.

Line choice, different rhythm sections, who's doing what on track, tyres, riding styles, how one guy can pass another. He tends to talk about the championship and the big picture all the time and sometimes misses the action on track.
Great to have dry racing again! With so many fast guys it looks like starts will rule everything this season

Does anyone else think that Jason Weigandt finally brought what was lacking in the booth? He is grammatically correct, articulate, and speaks in full sentences with a genuine excitement. The knowledge that he brings to the booth is obvious. It is time for the sport to have a new voice.

This is going to be a good season. Shimotas got some speed if he gets a start. Shame Ciancarulo and danger missing and shite luck for Stewart again but 250’s and 450’s are both looking good.
Jets a kid and damn fast but Anderson and AP are looking good as are German choc and Chase.

ET3! I've always liked the triple crown events... I know some dont, but its nice for keeping it competitive. If Tomac gets his starts figured out he's gonna be a force. Just glad to see 3 back out there. Ando was riding great all night too. Gonna be a fun season!
Just wait until we get to tracks that have super long start straights , that's when you will see Tomac right at the front . Doesn't matter where he lines up either that Yamaha will still be first to that turn.
Jett has been shown early that the Cagey Vets of the Class aren't just going to "Move" over. Anderson beginning a "Rebirth" season,and who can't help but Love "AP" leading the points. Again Jetts Great,but is now Battling with some of the "Greatest". Best Sport Ever!!😊

Despite Jett's blunders this year, I'm still impressed by his speed. The commenters didn't mention it too much because he wasn't up front, but in the last two rounds, I watched his position go from 8th, 10th, 14th or whatever all the way up to 5th or better. His starts have been trash but if you pay attention to his standing in the race, he's gaining ground the whole way through. Well, unless he goes down, like today.
He's blistering fast but so was chase and AC when they were rookies... They'd often blow by ET3 and then wad up and on goes Eli taking another dub. New rookie, but similar story. That said, I think Jett will figure it out faster than other rookies, but it sure is fun watching the struggle! I was seriously shocked that Jett didn't reel in Eli in moto 3 though before his crash.

so are like 8 other guys...Sexton, Tomac, Anderson, Roczen, Plesinger, Webb, Ferrandis, Stewart...and some others. Nothing that great about Jett's riding so far. He got up to 2nd last nite in the last race but couldn't close the gap behind Tomac so what does that tell you. And Tomac is almost twice Jett's age. That last race Tomac was so much faster than anybody I was wondering if he had been sandbagging but of course that is as stupid of an Idea as yours is about Jett.
But he's riding over his head and out of control. He's very close to getting a serious injury if he keeps it up.
Jett almost crashed there at least 4 times. Fitting that the very last lap of the night was the one where he messed it up. SX might not be his thing after all...
Love how the crowd cheered when he went down. Also, love that Tomac is getting cheered on after his injury last year. It's great to see him on the podium so happy!
He did win 250 sx the last 2 years, but maybe you're right...
