- OnePlus has done an incredible job with the OnePlus Buds 3, especially on a build front. They've tried something new with the finish on the earphones which I'm not a fan of, but I think a lot of people will like it. These sound BIG so this set is obviously catered toward the masses and its packed with features to keep every tech enthusiast happy.

You've got a new subscriber, man. I like how you explain things in every aspect respectively. Especially when you speak English clearly even it's not your first language.
But, I just want to know your insight since you didn't dig to explain the latency (I like how you demonstrated it don't get me wrong). Is the delay really noticeable to worry about? And its sound quality when it is in game mode, does it sound surround or like a dome/compressed?

Latency wise, anything quicker than 100ms is usually good. There's nothing like using a cable if response time is important to you. But over gaming, it is more noticeable. There are earphones that have a sub 50ms response, which is noticeably quicker. I am working on a comparison between them and this set.
Using the 3D audio mode will help with expanse when it comes to gaming or movies. It works well here, but I wouldn't recommend it for music listening since it does tend to thin out the audio.

Hello! I dont use 3D or spatial audio with most earphones because it usually tends to thin out detail. I prefer stereo sound for music listening, but these modes are fun to use when watching movies and gaming.

If you've got an iPhone, the user experience with airpods will be unmatched. Otherwise, the M2 is a fun set to own as well. I'm planning on pitting the M2 against the Sony XM4 and Yamaha E700A soon in a comparison.

I've used it with my iPad without any issues...iPadOS and iOS only broadcast in SBC & AAC codecs, so, no Hi-Res support from them sadly.
Great review, sir! It would be great if you could compare these with the almost similarly priced Realme Buds Air 5 Pro. For me, call quality is also very important and that is why I am not even looking at the Oppo Enco Air 3 pro! Thank you.

Hey Paul, How this compares with the nothing ear 2 in terms of sound and ANC?
ANC I'd say is similar. But sound wise, the Ear2 is considerably crisper in detail. I prefer the Ear2 on a sound front. Better dynamics for certain.

I haven't tested the OP Buds 2 Pro, so I can't really comment on it, but you can give the Nothing call demo a listen on my review of it. If calls are a priority, I've found the realme buds air 5 pro to be a terrific performer for calls. Again, call demo available in my in-depth review of it.

Hey paul, I am not sure if this issue is just with my device. So whenever i connect my op buds 3 to my phone it says connected(no media) in Bluetooth settings. I checked the box for media and calls. Im not able to listen to any music on my buds but i can answer calls. Is there a workaround for it? Also everytime i unpair and pair it, works fine. But the next time it doesn't. Does it mean that i have to unpair it and pair it every time i use it ?
Try resetting your earphones. If the reset doesn't sort this issue out, it's worthwhile contact OP customer care. It should auto sync and work for media and calls each time you open the lid, especially after you've selected it from your phone on initial set up.

Have used airpods pro 2nd generation, and I love that person on other end can hear even your hissing. So, is this the same with Oneplus 3 buds??? Would you recommend oneplus 3 buds for someone eho wants to go with that airpods pro 2nd generation call quality?

On a sound front, I prefer the Earfun over these. They're not trying to be big and heavy. They're definitely better detailed and richer in some places. Perhaps I should include it in a comparison with these OnePlus buds.

Hello Quick question. IS THE BUDS COMFORTABLE AS AIRPODS PRO? I MEAN IS THE DESIGN EXACT COPY OF THE AIRPODS PROS?? Airpod pros is very comfortable to wear.
These MIGHT SEEM A LITTLE LARGER THAN THE AIRPODS PRO. If you're used to airpods, consider sticking with them.

Nice set, I quite liked it over all warmth, but if I had to choose between all the IEMs mentioned here, I'd go for the KZ ZSN Pro X.

This has a slight edge over the JBL.
All the ANC modes had muffled voice. How is the buds in heavy metal music ?
These are great if all you want is a heaviness and a kick in the bass. It's not great for detail, so if you like to listen to detailed riffs, you might miss them with these earphones.
Paul it has wind noise reduction technology or not like realme air 5 pro…?
I've only seen the wind noise reduction in the ANC settings for the realme. Not the OP.

JBL Tune Beam VS OnePlus Buds 3, for audiophiles. (or as close as it can get)
Between the two, I prefer the Tune Beam. On an audiophile front, the only two sets I've really liked in wireless form are the Lypertek Pureplay Z3 and Yamaha TW-E3B.

I bought the OnePlus Buds 3 couple of days ago. I like the design, the case and also the battery life and touch controls.
Although I'm not completely satisfied with the sound, the bass is too overpowering as i listen to mostly classic rock songs.
I still have 2 days of time period left before i can return them. Do you recommend that i should return these and get the Oppo Enco Air 3 Pro.
My only concern with the Oppos are if they are loud enough because i tried Oppo Enco X2 and they werent loud enough so i returned them back.
Loudness wise, they're not the loudest set of earphones but when you put their Alive Audio on, they're much louder than their usual self and having them on their bass preset from the hey melody app makes them a lot more fun to listen to. Have a look at my comparison between these earphones. The realme buds air 5 Pro might be better suited for you.

Could you recommend EQ settings for the OnePlus Buds 3 where it can sound much balanced.
EQ settings can only do so much. The driver in the oneplus isn't cut out for as much detail as the oppo and realme. It's more for loudness and heavy bass.

Do these work with lossless too ? As for what I know loseless audio works with Apple AirPods only plus which device did u use for lhdc?
@@nxth1ng001 No AirPods support the AAC and SBC codecs only, which means they can't stream lossless audio from Apple Music or any other. I am using oneplus 11R and Apple Music with Hi-res lossless on. Getting good output with these as these buds ar capable of playing 96KHz/24-bit audio using LHDC which is Hi res lossless

I haven't tested the FN5U, I have tested the FP5, and it's terrific sounding, especially with its Meridian tuning. The OP focuses more on heavy bass than clarity. If the set you're getting has the Meridian tuning, I'm sure it'll sound better in terms of detail and fullness.

I haven't tested the pro 2 but if you prefer detail in your audio, the Nothing Ear2 is richer than these for certain.
Should I go for earfun air 3 pro or for these OnePlus buds?
I know I'd go for the Earfun. It's better detailed with a healthy amount of bass. The OnePlus is more bass oriented than anything else.

If you want volume and big bass, the OP Buds 3. If you're okay with something softer but better detailed in audio, the JBL Tune Beam.

The 230NC has been known to have charging issues. Would not recommend.

The Buds 3 is a very good performer with ANC. The Z2 did have some hissing issues with its ANC. Both are pretty good bass performers. Call quality wise, I'd recommend listening to my Buds 3 demo and Z2 demo for calls so you get an idea about which one you prefer. I'd say consider going for the Buds 3 since it's newer and doesn't have a glossy case.

I haven't tested the castor but quite like the KZ ZSN Pro X. It's a set I've been wanting to own myself. Great all rounder. The Tangzu I found to be terrifically detailed but preferred listening to classical music with it. Feel free to watch my reviews on them to see which would suit your taste.

I wouldn't know for certain, but I don't see why they'd have a different set for either country. Usually, they change a products name if there is a difference as far as I know.
@@PaulsPOV Yeah makes sense. Actually I have seen couple videos of US reviews and they are getting great treble, mids and details. So I thought OnePlus specially customised them as base head for Indians 😅
Ah, based on what you've just said, this is entirely possible! A lot of products are tuned to be bass heavy for the Indian market. It's what most people like. Pumping up bass too much will always affect the highs and mids, especially imaging, which is quite evidently what's happened with the tuning of the unit I've reviewed.

I was using Jabra elite 75t which was a gift from my uncle but one of the battery needs replacing and I didn’t find any service centres keeping those batteries. So now I ordered oneplus buds 3. Have you used any jabra products yet ?
No, I haven't used Jabras yet, but I've heard very good things about them. Usually, service centers don't replace the batteries in these earphones. They're not made to be serviceable. But if you manage that, that'll be great! Mechanically, these things can go on for years. They're only real flaw being the batteries that die out as quickly as they do.
