Pretty much. Shows from the 70's, 80's and 90's had terribly sexist comments and most people thought it was funny. Humour has changed so much.

Just hope these lovely young assistants know what they are doing & don't suffer some sort of seizure or blackout especially with this trick. Once curtain is placed hope the contraption doesn't malfunction too. It would be horrifying for the magician to start sawing & blood appeared. There is always an answer to these great illusions & most of them are simple. Even Houdini was human after all.
At 5:56 you can see the assistant has a nasty scar on her elbow. Previous trick gone awry?

Most "big prop tricks" are done by the assistants, and the magician is just the presentation.
The presentation is pretty important for misdirection. So they are still pretty crucial

These are family orientated magicians. There are more gory shows out there for adult only audiences, they are pretty gross though!

you can clearly see a recessed area below the "heavy duty mount", presumably a small "bucket" for the women to climb in when the cloth was thrown over;
the "test subject" had very little clothing on, presumably to make sure she can maneuvre well, she probably went through between the bars of the cage and sat down in the recessed area, you can see he doesn't go "all the way through", instead he lifts the saw a bit so she won't get hurt.

That's just debris from the saw, dumbass. Didn't move her arm out of the way in time, and it wasn't the past. It was when they did the trick the first time at the beginning.

That's debris stuck to her arm from the saw, not cuts, reflection of light into the camera made it look like cuts. She didn't move her arm out the way quick enough- or the magician cut too soon.
The only thing is the saw will be covered in blood but I still lovvvvvvvvvve you're video

This is a great trick and a great act.
shes just some yoga master or something and she got into a weird form on one of the sides of the cage, so the saw doesnt go through her.
I click pause before I see the reveal because I think the fun of it, is that u see the trick and you try to figure it out yourself or to entertain yourself

Before I see how they really did this trick, i'm just gonna say that the girl probably had to avoid the saw while the magician was cutting and he was making sure he didn't touch her.

This one isn't much different than the original saw-a-woman-in-half illusion. I think the cage gives it the added illusion of nothing being hidden.

She didn't move her arm in time and the saw started to cut her skin and left debris from the saw. Studio lights bouncing off of it at the camera makes it look worse than it was.

Yup, knew how it was done before the trick even began. I saw the black edge under the table, which instantly told me that she will hide inside that part. Revealing magic tricks is easy, if you follow a simple rule "Eliminate the impossible and that leaves you with obvious".
It didn't look very real tho, I'd use a longer and REAL saw, that is actually sharp and has teeth. Assistant would have some basic armor on her stomach (just in case) and she'd also have some fake blood, so as magician cuts thru the cage, she'd touch the saw with fake blood. so it would look like he actually cut into her.
This would make it far more realistic.
