This Gangnam Style spoof was filmed during our first ever fisheries expedition to the Indian Ocean. On this eight-week expedition, we collaborated with the governments of Mozambique and Maldives to monitor their Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) for pirate fishing, and had their enforcement officers on board with us.
We also conducted our own monitoring of key fishing areas and in total observed 37 tuna and shark fishing boats, we boarded 11 of them and documented 5 illegal fishing activities with 2 more cases still under investigations.
I think nearby whales died after this video was made

Actually, we've had a pretty winning 2012 at Greenpeace.
Took on oil companies in the Arctic, stopped a super trawler in Austria, got some major tuna brands to commit to better fishing practices, got some of the world's largest clothing companies (like Zara and Levis) to commit to clean up their supply chains.
While in the Indian Ocean, we conducted joint patrols with local governments - helping them protect the ocean.

"Based on an analysis of average shark weights, this translates into a total annual mortality estimate of about 100 million sharks in 2000, and about 97 million sharks in 2010, with a total range of possible values between 63 and 273 million sharks per year." According to the blog post, the video was done after dinner (aka after work) and on Sundays. Are you people really telling me that if you are on a ship isolated from everything you aren't allowed to have ANY fun? Oh, please... Stop being hypocrites. People need to balance their work days with stuff like this. Btw, it also improves work efficiency.

Yes, this is all we do all day long, both on ships and in our offices.
You are welcome to come to our ships or offices and see how we work and to see our extreme amounts of workload. I don't think many would like to switch with us. Low pay, long hours, work any day 365 days a year, holidays and weekdays.

When i was young (7) like 15 years ago my aunty took my to paint a dolphin on the sails of the wooden rainbow warrior in Sydney Australia. Every since then i have been a wild life warrior i donate to you guys a lot and wish i could do more then just sign the emails you send. I once wrote to green peace wanting to clear up our local river banks and all i got was a rude letter back saying do not use our logo ! Completly destroy my faith in donations as i do not donate anymore !

Yeah that was it , 1000's of plastic bottles and lids and rubbish all picked up off the sore line and green peace didnt want us to wear there t-shirts. My thinking was if people seen us cleaning it up they might donate to the company i love but since this happen i do not donate anymore i send my money to Amnesty International Australia

how could Greenpeace be corrupt when they are independent. The money they get is from donors that suports greenpeace. I often see greenpeace do action at sea. Right now the arctic sunrise is in the russian osean following a russian ship Akademik Lazarev, an oil exploration vessel working for the Russian oil giant Rosneft, which is preparing to drill in the high Arctic. They have contacted them and demanded them to cease
all preperation for oil drilling. and return to port

tell that to the 2 Greenpeace activists who recently spent months in a Japanese jail for exposing the corruption in the whaling industry. Sea Shepard may win battles but we have to win the war and that means turning Japanese hearts and minds. I admire Sea Shepard and they do have a role to play but their violent image doesn't help get Japanese people on side and may even be counter-productive.

I support GE crops (Norman Borlaug, father of GE crops, saved a billion lives with his work and he didn't earn a fortune from it. So forget the corporate greed), Walmart, Gun ownership, oil drilling and many of the things Greenpeace vehemently opposes. Put a green peace dud in front of me, and I will spit in his face.
