A pivotal moment here watching the end of Emmerdale's best couple! I think it would've been nicer if they had left together tbh. Before Arthur Pentelow's sad death, Henry was just floating about aimlessly after Amos left

very sad to see Amos' last appearance as a regular character, even though he continued to make guest returns up until 1995. lovely poignant scenes with Henry in this episode, the end of the soap's finest double act and first ever bromance too...... lol I agree with Gareth, Alan Turner was a good landlord but it was no substitute for the Amos and Wilks days, and the show definitely lost something after this

At 22:46 Amos called Henry Wilks Henry. About time too.

A significant moment in the shows evolution. Amos and Mr Wilkes have still yet to be bettered at the Woolpack - although to be fair Alan Turner was a good choice as their replacement.

The show was all downhill after this.

Victor Cross 1994 was the last good year, 1995 onwards has been hit and miss but the 2000s era was still good
