I agree about the high-necked tops. When I leave them standing up they look and feel like I have no neck, (a turtle with it’s head only part way in?!?) and when I fold them down, I feel like my neck is being squeezed. Just not meant for me, I guess.

I just found you and I’m very happy about it. I used to be a pear quite a severe one but after liposuction weight gain pregnancy and weight loss oh yeah and breasts added I’m now a strawberry lol. Very mild and your tips are amazing. So I always have used black as my main neutral but I’m enjoying your lighter colours. So I had a great day today when I found a pair of pointy ballet flats in a pretty taupe at the thrift store brand new and very comfy wearing them out tonight with my cargo khakis blue and white stripe shirt. Feels very fresh. I never would have even seen them before

Loving these videos. Oh how I wish I could wear some of those jackets, however, even in winter where I live in Australia, it does not get cold enough for a coat. Plus as a retired 70 year old, I don't go out much. Still picking up lots of tips and have ordered some shoulder pads. I'm a pear shape and noticed my shoulders are getting more rounded. Thank you.

Interesting that at the end of the video you mention returning to a better H&M. I have tried various H&M and all to often I can not find the better clothing that I know H&M do.
Really love your videos, but so many items aren't easily available in the US. Especially with the different sizing and cost of return shipping, I'm hesitant to order from these UK brands. I'd love to see you do more shops easily accessible in the US, if possible!
I live in the uk so we can’t get American brands in on time because by the time they arrive, we film then edit they’ve already been put for 3-4 weeks and there’s no stock left by the time we put the video out. Most of the brands we used in this weeks video are available in America (H&M, mango and Reiss) and they have stores so you can buy them actually in America.

Hi Melissa My husband had his second knee replacement. It is a brutal surgery. He went to bed and I was so happy to see you and Clare do a fantastic video. It was so fun seeing you two try in different things, especially the same first dress. I loved sooo many things on both of you. I actually loved the jeans you were not crazy about. A few deep knee bends and they would loosen in the hips. I am not a big cold weather person, but I love jackets and coats and can not wait to get my winter white wool coat out. You both looked amazing in everything. I would love to have some of Clair’s height. I have been wanting a midi denim skirt, but I am an inch shorter than you. While you looked amazing in it, I just don’t know if I would. I loved that shirt dress, but like I said you both picked such nice items that looked so pretty on you both. My best friend and her husband went to England for three weeks and visited today and talked about their trip. They go every year. She said it was cold, then got pretty hot and she went to the charity shops and found some lighter clothes as hers were too warm. She found the cutest black and white striped long sleeve top with a little different neck detail. She said you all have the best pastries and of course, the best gardens. Thanks again you two beautiful ladies. I will probably watch this again. ❤❤❤❤

Always enjoy your videos.❤ I bought the cargo pants from Amazon last week which you showcased. Im a small size 12 normally, bought them in a medium and they wouldn't zip up 😢. I have a tummy and a bottom but hips are not big. Such a shame I've returned it. Love the Reiss dress and the cream boucle jacket 😊
You have to size up on most Amazon clothes. Most are made for Asian sizes. The reviews are very helpful. I haven't had great luck buying from there.
I would love to see a video with a very plus size pear/apple model. I am a 2x pear with a big belly and I am trying to follow the suggestions, but would be helpful to see someone who was like me. I am petite as well. Only 5.1

How about some M&S in your come shopping with me - they have fantastic clothes
They do but the changing rooms weren’t big enough to film in and the lighting was rubbish so we had to go elsewhere on this occasion. In addition we have to consider stock levels. So when we find clothes the first thing we do is check that the size options are there and for a lot of the items we picked they weren’t. Hope that helps to explain.

It looks cream or beige - but Reiss states it as lemon on their website.
That’s right, it’s described as lemon and was a ‘lemony cream’ colour x

Really glad to hear you love your romper suit but in all honesty I wouldn't wear a traditional showerproof trench coat to a wedding - a nice linen based trench style would be nice but a showerproof one wouldn't be appropriate. A nice thin wool coat would look nice. Hope that helps. x

I didn't think pears could wear leggings? I am a plus pear and love the feel of my leggings but as I am trying to revamp my wardrobe I was going to get rid of them.
Yes they can wear leggings as being a pear shape means that its all about wearing the right top, not the right trousers. Your hips are your hips, you can't do much about them UNLESS you wear a top that broadens you on the shoulders to equal your hips (or as close to equal as you can get). So it's not about the trousers for you...
Could you help me and tell me what boots to wear with a midi split denim skirt, thank you.
Long heeled boots or short tight around the ankle boots would both look great. But feminine shaped, not too big and bulky.

HI there - I love all your videos and have shared your channel with all my friends. I am still looking for a video for taller ladies with an apple shape - I am 5'10" ...... and big feet too. Always feel clunky and butch with my shoes as I am on my feet nearly all day - no point shoes please.

Being 5ft2ins I always wear my pants to my shoes. I just feel that I need the length in the legs. Maybe I’m making a mistake
I'm 5ft 3 and as you can see I don't always do that but it's very much down to what you like/don't like.
Beautiful cowl neck jumper, but what tips do you have for women with double chin/ turkey neck. Cowls seem to accentuate those.

I have a question… I have quite chunky thighs and wondered if you could advise me if jeans that have a big turn up at the bottom and jeans that are ankle cropped suit my body shape. I love them but not sure they’re doing me any favours.. please help! 😊
As long as they’re not tight at your ankles they should be fine BUT….. it’s not the jeans alone, it’s the top that you pair them with which will make the jeans work or not work. Next Monday I’m filming with Jess, a size 18 on her thighs and only a 14 on top so we’ll be looking at how to dress those thighs in that weeks video.

Love these videos. I'm about to start collecting my autumn wardrobe together from the loft and review the pieces that are missing. Just watching these and the capsule wardrobes have shown that I don't have enough building blocks and a lot of magpie pieces. I've made some changes to my buying over the spring/summer and looking forward to doing autumn.
If you are nearly hourglass shape, would loose jeans/wide leg trousers look better with a fitted blazer or cropped jacket?
It depends on your personal style but if you’re hourglass (ish) you can wear either x

I’m sorry but doing this yourself would really help me out. I do all the lighting, filming, editing and styling and my brain can’t do everything so if you just take off 4 to the sizes then you’ve got your sizing conversion! Or just Google it. Thank you x
A few easy rules to remember:
Minus 2 sizes to get your US size (for example, a UK dress size 6 is a US dress size 2) French sizes are also used in Belgium and Portugal. German sizes are also used in Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. AU dress sizing is the same as UK.

Sadly, that first Reiss dress is sold out in the US above size 8. It was a summer item.
That’s a shame. Have you tried the department stores that also stock Reiss like Nordstrom?
How do you keep your necklaces from tangling? I love the look of layered dainty necklaces but it takes no more than five minutes for my necklaces to tangle into one chaotic piece. I have seen the spacers that can be used for layering, but all of them are less than appealing to the eye and will be visible with my short hair. Any advice you can offer will be truly appreciated.
The necklaces I wear are heavier and less dainty so tend not to get tangled. I also make sure they’re at different lengths but these are the only things you can do if a spacer clasp isn’t right for you. X
