Very good movie A Hard Day. A Korean thriller as exciting and intense as this one, if not more, is The Vanished, from 2018. It is a South Korean version of a 2012 Spaniard film called El Cuerpo, and both versions are magnificent. The plot revolves around the body of a woman who died under mysterious circumstances, a body that is in a morgue on a stormy night. The woman's young husband ends up being a suspect in her death, but as the night goes on many things happen and the surprising truth of the story ends up being revealed, with many plot twists, in a thriller where nothing is really what it seems.

Oh wow - shocked to see someone reacting to this! One of my favourite Korean b-movies. Sun Kyun's performance is amazing - how his pitiful attempts at a poker face are only barely concealing the sheer panic beneath.

Lee Sun-Kyun came back clean on several drug tests.
However, he is said to have been under a lot of stress after being subjected to multiple forced investigations by the investigative authorities. Even the mainstream media exposed his private life, leaving him no choice but to die. What is surprising is that one of the prosecutor's relatives was not arrested at the scene while using drugs. Powerful prosecutors and police are lenient on drugs, and powerless movie stars suffer this injustice when politics are in turmoil.
great movie. i found it hard to root for the MC cuz he was involved in some shady stuff. and i hated that he bullied the checkpoint cops who were just doing their jobs (and properly at that). because they got in trouble, they might be hesitant to follow proper procedure next time. in any case, it's interesting how they made us root for him as the movie progressed by pitting him against a worse guy who's kinda terrifying.
S.Korea excels in thrillers, suspense, and mysteries. there are plenty to watch and i'm excited to see your reaction to more.

Watch another Lee Sun Kyun classic movie -- All About My Wife. A really funny movie about Lee Sun Kyun who plays a husband who rents a gigolo to seduce his wife. Saw this at Lincoln Center in NY years ago and people were laughing out loud inside the theater. A comic side of the late great actor that I enjoyed. I am also Korean but the sentiment of Koreans is too grotesque.
There is an old saying that "The characteristic of Koreans is that when a person gets punished, they don't try to find out about the reason, just all run in together to hit".
Lee Sun-kyun was guilty, but there was no reason to be humiliated to the point of death and The former president was even impeached on just only criminal charges
