Thank you for this video. Tried other ways and I couldn’t get the COG to budge even after moving it forward. Tried it using your method and it came out instantly. Voila. Installed the COG in a small grip frame and now the pistol fits my hand very well. I have small to medium hands.
After watching literally every video on the echelon while waiting for mine, everyone made it look so difficult, and I tried it yesterday on mine and it was the easiest disassembly ever. Some people just suck 😂 it's amazing how easy it is if you gollow the directions. I'm waiting to find a full COG disassembly, I am tempted to try it.

Be careful. I held an echelon in the gun store and it took both thumbs to operate the slide release. The one I bought is fine. I think some of these are tighter than others. Anyway, good luck with your gunsmithing.
Your video is by far the best because I ran into every damn issue simply removing the COG and no other video pointed either of those issues removing or installing the COG
I’ve owned and sold a handful of springfields, most of them have been just fine except for the long awaited greatly anticipated quickly disappointing and swiftly traded Prodigy. Going back on my promise I ended up ordering the Echelon. When I was driving home with it I was thinking ok this is it, if this gets ugly I’m done buying guns! So far I haven’t had any system errors and it shoots accurate and w no mishaps. My only problem is trying to attach my Swampfox red dot direct to slide. The provided screws that came with the gun don’t work nor do the ones that came with the dot. I don’t love the way it looks on the slide with 2 caverns front and aft. If I buy a plate I may need to have the sights replaced to co witness. Typical problems and I anticipated some of this going in. I decided to take the echelon apart completely and found your Channel! Thank you for having a clear and concise direction on taking it apart and back together again. So many guys make how to videos and you can barely see the item at hand. Keep up the awesome work!
The production value is top notch. Lighting, editing, sound. You really have a talent in video production. Combined with excellent verbal and the use of your hand gestures made this so much more approachable for me. Bravo! I needed to get the new Apex mag release installed on my Echelon and this was very helpful to accomplish that task. Thank you!! Side note, the mag release is much better now at least for me.
Excellent video. Had problems getting the takedown pin back in place but after watching the video I was able to get it back in with no issues.
