Gabriel is such a complete surfer, if he surfs that well at places like Pipe, Tchops and Cloudbreak he will win several world titles as Slater said... Watch out for Brazil`s next generation of surfers such as Miguel, Jesse, Jadson and many others...

Gabriel Medina deserved to win. He went for the craziest manouvers and was lucky enough to complete them. Well paid off! Hats off to Julian (what a great surfer), Jordy and Taylor for their performances and sportsmanship. Kelly is still the best and will be world champion again: time to be smart and retire. Surfing needs new heroes and a new shine.
