It had. Previous animations were lacking although I didn't particulary mind. But everyone was expecting this battle had to be pure sakuga and it delivered.
This is one of the major fights in this arc, they definitely needed to deliver

Okay, I think I understand why Reactors think Sukuna would help Yuji.
Besides them having terrible memory and/or they think Sukuna is like Kurama, they probably remember how Sukuna stepped in to injure Mahito during Yuji & Nanami's fight.
However, they forgot that Sukuna only stepped in because Mahito's Technique went a step beyond injuring Yuji; it directly attacked Sukuna.
And I guess they now think Sukuna would always step in if Yuji is near death 😂

Death is considered a transformation, which is why Choso could feel when his brothers were killed. This also caused him to foresee Yuuji's upcoming death with his own eyes accompanied by an intense sensation that stopped Choso from slaying him. so sukuna nothing to do with this fight

Because they all like Sakuna and want to see him do something, is part of it. I don't expect them all to remember Sakuna hates literally everyone besides himself and people he determines are on his level and even then he just sees them as training practice at the end of the day. Also they have no idea about Yuji, the Death Paintings, and all of that because they are all anime only. So when something wild like that happens, right after seeing Sakuna, it's easy to draw the lines.
The cinematography for this episode was crazy good.

I didn't read the manga, and only watch the anime, but one thing that really caught my attention in this episode is how yuji and choso's blood mixed together.
I like when reactors think Sakuna is like some extra power for Yuji when Sakuna literally killed Yuji and used it as a excuse to fight Megumi then laughed with the enemy over Yuji's friend dying.
Why would Sakuna care that Yuji is losing a fight?
Fr though I think most of them were caught up in the hype of the moment and the others just don’t understand his character
it reaches a point where Yuji's body consumes so many fingers that I think for Sukuna It's makes him have somewhat of a reason to protect Yuji's body, since if the body dies, the fingers are lost forever, thus making it impossible for Sukuna to reach his old peak power

Question: What made most of these reactors think that Sukuna will take over just to save Itadori? If they watched Season 1, they should know that's an impossibility. The King of Curses can't be bothered by a mere irritating brat.
Season 1 was years ago and reactors watch tons of anime so things like that can be lost on them a little bit. I think it was not so much coming to save Yuji but they just wanted to see Sakuna whoop some ass.
Also I'm pretty sure it has to do with when Mahito tried to use Idle Transfiguration on Yuji and Sakuna wasn't having any of that so they compared the two moments together.

People need to calm tf down with this “reactors think Sukuna is Kurama” complex they have. If you listen carefully most of the reactors don’t think Sukuna helped rather he did SOMETHING to stop Choso’s attack. I was on Twitter when these chapters dropped and the JJK community was in SHAMBLES trying to figure out what happened. They thought Yuji’s CT had something to do with memory manipulation or something. Even watching the episode there is no real context as to what happened. So there conclusions that Sukuna did SOMETHING to Choso are completely valid. They will get clarity in time

Lolol as a manga reader i love seeing these reactions because everyone like oh what did sukuna do or oh yeah choso is seeing sukuna because why else would he be so afraid but nooo it's something else entirely. It's explained why choso and yuji are related - because of kenjaku. His technique allows him to jump body to body precisely like a parasite, inhabiting the hosts and their memories and techniques. In the past, there was an unknown woman with a special genetic make-up that allowed her to get pregnant by a cursed spirit. Pretty much kenjaku took this woman prisoner and experimented with her, mixing in his own blood birthing nine death wombs and decades after, kenjaku inhabited yuji's mom's body so technically the death wombs and yuji are half brothers.

*Time two, Yuji vs mahito: Straight up denies helping yuji whatsoever.
