    Thank you. This is the simplest yet and I’m thrilled because as you explained it, I was able to connect my cameras to my DVR without a problem. although, my monitor to DVR cable is USB, it was easy to see where they connected and voila… it works, I wish. The monitor is on and the NVR but it says “No Signal.” Sigh. Maybe I’ll just sent it back. So frustrating.

    Nice tutorial. One question that maybe you haven’t had before.
    Is it possible to connect a monitor in one room via the VDA port & also connecting to my TV in another room using the HDMI port. Two permanent connections.

    Perhaps a silly question but does it matter how many POE ports you have if you are only using a switch? For example if I have 4 POE ports on my NVR but have a 9 port Switch with 9 cameras plugged into the switch would this work okay and I be able to view all 9? Or would this be too much for the NVR? Many Thanks

      You have asked a very good question, and the answer is that the number of ports on the NVR is the maximum number of cameras that the firmware in the NVR has been designed to receive.
      There are some brands that may give room to go beyond the POE ports on the NVR, in such a case, you would see the NVR capacity stated with the number of cameras it takes.
      Please let me know if I have been able to Well address your question.

    Can a NVR that has only one Poe port accommodate any number of IP cameras from a Poe switch? Or single port NVRs has limited capacity of IP cameras that can be fed into them via Poe switches?

    • @Tech_Inside_Out
      @Tech_Inside_Out  Před 8 měsíci

      They have specific capacities such as 4 channel, 8 channel and so on. You can't exceed its capacity

    • @Tech_Inside_Out
      @Tech_Inside_Out  Před dnem

      The splitters are used whenever you are using non POE IP cameras and you wish to power them up through the same network cable that carries video from the camera.

    How do I know if the port is a POE port without the name on the switch

    • @Tech_Inside_Out
      @Tech_Inside_Out  Před 8 měsíci

      It is written on the Packaging, you can't determine whether an ethernet port is poe or non poe unless it is written on it
