This video is all about the pelvis! So important to figure drawing, but also quite a complicated shape. The anatomy police are going to arrest me for this one! We are going to bypass all the complexity of the pelvis and just take some easy ideas that still give us most of the drawing benefits.
Anatomeasy is a series of tutorials I'm starting about the anatomy of different areas of the figure. A lot of the wonderful books and guidance out there about anatomy for artists is comprehensive and therefore quite complex! That's a hard place to start. So I want to help you get started by seeing the things that really matter the most.

I maybe wrong in this but what I really like about pelvis is that the shape of it doesn't change much. It doesn't inflate or deflate like ribcage, it doesn't bend like the spine, it doesn't twist like arm. So I can use pelvis as the reliable starting point.

If you are good and know something of anatomy thats not wrong, In fact that is the purpose of the structures, I for the pelvis I have to make a trapezoid which for each angle is another figure, but if with a circle or whatever you can draw then it is fine, since it is not mandatory to even use structure, only beware of anatomical errors such as characters that have the torso above the legs, It is a common mistake since the characters are like Roblox or Minecraft

    I hope you see this:
So I am a young artist who didn't understand learning that much
Two years ago, more like 5, I watched a channel called zhc. I got inspired to draw so much, and wanted to look good, so I copied a superhero landing, and showed it off in a home made drawing competition at a youth center. I drew the superhero landing Spiderman pose, and the other guy from the competition laughed.
So that's where I started off, using his negativity as a motive to get better. Two years pass, and still inspired by zhc, stumbled upon his 3 books video, got a Michael Hampton book, and started to copy his gestures daily, sometimes finished process sketches with no direction. Hard to explain.
I did that for two years, and here I am , having learned nothing.
I am sad that I've wasted two years.
The good thing is that I've stumbled upon your list of skills pdf, and FINALLY IMPROVING! Right now, working on the angles, because I drew so many people back then, have a pretty good sense of proportion, because of Michael hampton, I know where to look for The muscles.
Anyway, for gesture, all I had to do was think through angles. I wish I could show you my gesture drawing I did, seeing through the angles and the landmarks. I have wasted so much time, and thanks to you I found the holes of my skills so far.
I'm bad at explaining things, but if you read anything from this,
    thank you
    You really helped me
If only I could show you my gesture drawing :)

As someone trying to study anatomy, here is my PERSONAL perspective. Its about 70/30 for me. Learning deep anatomy has been super useful in every area of my fogure deawing and drawing in general. It teaches your eyes to be sensitive to every detail which allows me to choose what to draw more precicely. However most of what you’ll get out of anatomy you do get from the first 30-odd percent I feel
