    It was all clipping in the dynamic test. Uncertified was perfect! Clean 1670 watts. The second test would dynamically burn some coils real quick.
    Thanks for the video.

    Did u ever do a 4 ohm or 2 ohm test?

    This amplifier is not rated for 1ohm.

      That’s correct
      I haven’t watched this video in a long time, but just in case if I didn’t mention it, there is actually a switch on the inside of the amplifier that allows it to do 1ohm

    Can you do another test at 2oms. I have a mtx 9500 15 inch subwoofer and a mtx 81000d amplifier! Thanks

      How is the 81000d amp I just got a sound system with 2 12in Rockford subs you think it can hold it?

      It will push those subwoffers to their maximum performance... wire them down to 2oms ..

    @lazzer408 Před 2 lety

    You need to connect your volt probes at the load, not the amp.

    Have you ever tested a planet audio 2250d amp? Or power acoustik a3000db?

    Hey has anyone ever ran this amp at one ohm in their vehicle? What was the outcome?

    • @Contact_Info

      Overheated, protection mode ..I have the jackhammer mh10001 though. ..I heard others have overheat..why you ask?

      A burnt amplifier. Don’t ever do the 1 ohm mod unless you just want a paper weight and are looking to buy a new amp.

      Was curious because of the mod some people were doing.

      @@carltonmiller8086 I use to do amplifier repair, I bought one of these, well the near identical sibling 1501D non working for $50 many years ago, it turned out someone "modded" it by disabling the low impedance protection and when the power supply FETs blew, they charred the PCB and totally melted one of the aluminum clamp bars for the FETs. I did repair it, but it required a lot of work and was not able to sell the amplifier with JB Weld filling the removed sections of the burnt board and small jumper wires ran where the PCB traces were gone. I used the amp for years myself so no big deal, but I highly recommend against running below 2 ohm. Think about it, if the amp was secretly able to handle 1 ohm or less, why would the manufacture not advertise this? Amps running low impedance is a HUGE selling point. The reality is, it is often a death sentence for any amp running it below what it's capable of. The reason they do not advertise this amp as 1-ohm stable is because these don't have enough capable transistors to handle the current a 1 ohm load will draw.
      People get away with low impedance sometimes because the impedance rise in their system is high enough the amp doesn't see the extreme current of the low ohm load, not because the amps can secretly handle low impedance. Not worth the risk in my opinion unless you were competing, willing to blow amps and subs for car audio SPL trophies. Daily driver, don't do it.
