Nitro ride operator (michael) here, the crew at nitro has the best chemistry in the park hands down. We all pride ourselves on guest throughput, I really wish we had the third train we’d be moving the line soooo much quicker. Awesome video!
Nitro is the best! Thank you for everything!!!
I grew up in Trenton, NJ and would get season passes and go all the time. Back then, they actually haad rides that were open and running. Doesnt look like that way anymore. I was there with family in 1975 in the early years. This was a very sad and depressing video to see.
Great video!
I wonder what the maintenance dept or upper mgmt would say about the one train ops.
In my opinion it’s still early and they have so many projects happening hopefully come june/July they’ll have everything wrapped up and up and running
I’ll give them a pass for the 1 train ops because the improvements going on and staffing, BUT after the improvements are done and school is out NO excuses. Ops were the best last year
I think that Six Flags has poured way to much capital into Savannah Sunset instead of getting park into high gear with multiple train Ops. In my opinion, it's shameful that Dorney and Knoebels is running more trains.
I work in foods they said due to staffing they have no plans on opening chop six this season
That sucks even more since that the 2nd location was removed
@@TheCoasterSpot yeah I totally agree with you
Alex, did you drive all the way to Cedar Point? Thinking about making the trip in my car from Pa myself (Montgomery County)! Or to Carowinds.
I did drive all the way… if you’ve never been, I’d go to Cedar Point one top thrill two reopens
Do you actually have anything positive to say? I’m sure once staffing gets up to snuff, I’m sure more trains will be added. Geez! Lighten up!
He’s just stating his observation. Six Flags across the board has been struggling lately. If great adventure was owned by cedar fair, I guarantee you the park would’ve been ready for its 50th anniversary by opening day.
They waited so late to start these project that the park really won’t be at its full potential until late July, early august.
Another example is my home park Six Flags America. They’re supposed to be celebrating its 25th anniversary (which really should be 50th since the original park opened in 1974), but you wouldn’t even know.
-every ride is running one train
-half the park is closed
-they’ve removed whistlestop park and more flat rides
-the new rethemed SteamTown won’t be open until July
-the park barely gets crowds
At least great adventure has a new lion statue. We still have a topiary as a replacement statue 😂
To Be Fair, he did praise the lion and flash construction and many more improvements earlier this season. Great Adventure isn’t perfect and I’m glad Alex doesn’t sugar coat his opinion. It’s not like he doesn’t love the park, he’s constantly there all the time
This… honestly Great Adventure is my zero park. I love it and I try to defend it, but this season has been very hard. This has been the worst start of a season I think ever… i’m sure it will get better and things will be running full swing by July but I can’t recommend people still going to the the park yet this season unless you’re a regular.
And for the record, I’ve never had a bad day this year because I love the park and I’ve been enjoying watching flash construction, but if there wasn’t construction, I probably wouldn’t be going to the park very regularly right now.
I think you can enjoy something and be critical of it at the same time that’s having an unbiased opinion.
Oh my goodness, I didn’t even realize the park was 50 years old for its real anniversary! I’m not sure why they’re promoting a 25th anniversary when they can just promote a 50th anniversary…
It’s just as odd as SeaWorld Orlando ignoring their 50th last year and promoting the heck out of the chains 60th this year.
Looking forward to visiting once all the improvements are in place. Usually I would visit the park more often but this year it’s been tough to travel due family commitments.
