BUSINESS suburban rebels
The film shows Punk at it's best, raw, powerful and, most of all, uncompromising. We include some of the most influential bands from the Punk movement in action. In between tracks are interview snippets from many key figures from the UK Punk movement who articulate their views on the rise of Punk. It all makes a truly fascinating show...
The clip shows The Business playing Suburban Rebels, edited later from from a show in London

RIP Micky...you were and will always be a true gentleman...an inspiration to all!
LAST SONG REMEMBERING MICKY FITZ , SINGER IN THE BUSINESS, WHO PASSED YESTERDAY.
This video of Suburban Rebels is from a gig in London in 1988. Suburban Rebels and Harry May, are probably their two most famous songs. RIP MICKY. We all miss you.
I still laugh when someone refers to Green Day or Blink 182 as punk. This is punk rock little kids.
One of my favorite bands
Oil!oil!
Oi!
Just found this group today but good stuff, better late than never.
Saw 'em in '99 Mickey Fitz was old as shit then lol
Oh man you did well tho! Enjoy OI!
Bless you. Grew up with this stay true mate many more bands out there for you
@@emmanuelgoldstein2558 saw them that year myself.
Saw them a second time around 2013 or so give or take a year. I know it was within a few years of his passing.
Both times they absolutely brought it and the shows were great though I still wish I had been old enough to see them (and countless other bands) in their primes. I turned 3 the same year this was shot.
Been missing out son been listening since the 80's. Great band.
Great band Rest in peace Micky Fitz
Band sounds tight as hell at this concert. Great atmospheric video.
I just found out yesterday that Micky Fitz had died, he was a nice bloke who had no airs of graces even though hehis being from such a great band he could if he wanted to of been as aloof as some people from the Punk scene are (mentioning no names) but he wasnt, instead he was a proper geezer.
R.I.P Mr fitz you will be missed.
The fact that he's like that shows a lot about the kind of who truly shine both as musicians/performers and people. If they're super down to earth and don't really care much about stardom - or if they do, they don't wallow up there, and truly care for others, they're the people that truly matter. May he rest in peace.
Hung out with him at a bar in El Paso, Tx and he was gold. Just the nicest guy.
1 of your own was micky , i remember him pushing me through the toilet window at the hamborough tavern and he came afterwards and fell on his head funny as fuck
He knew there was a rift between the peace punks and the oi punks. So he made a cover version of Do they owe us a living by Crass. Brilliant idea
Suburban rebels one off there best songs in my opinion micky Fitz was working class like the rest off us oi fans down to earth geezer and a West ham fan a legend in my eyes Rip mick sadly missed oi Oi
This is no 1982, this is 1988 or 1989 Tottenham Court Road Main Event. Been there seen it all.
Fuck this was my favourite tune and my favourite band for so fuckin long, it's the anthem to a crazy fun chaotic period of my life back in 80's. Miss it but don't miss it 🤷♂️
Cheers and Oi! from São Paulo, Brazil
R.I.P thank you for the music.
That takes me back, this is what they called Oi the main event at the Astoria, I was there and remember this they were brilliant so was Section 5.
it was a great weekend driver night b4 in Brighton
Great show, glad I was there.
Section 5 is beyond underrated. Truly Oi at it's finest
@@johnnystuds……..I know their ex drummer very well . Steve Walker lives in Birmingham ….he joined Section 5 on the day of that gig due to them sacking Nic Jurasic ! He still plays for Close - Shave these days !
Yep, it is filmed in 1988 and not 1982.
top tune back in the day
How iconic is this song now
Love it !!!
Working class anthem...loves 2019 🇲🇾
La verdad un sentimiento!! saludos desde uruguay!!

love it !!!! oi !
Kudos
Up with the working class, worldwide!👊🏼👊🏼💪🏼
Great record
Mighty!
Still love the business
Never knew the Business had two guitarists in their lineup - that's a solid sound right there.
Steve Kent was the best punk guitarist ever
@@stinkytrouble I see. Who's the other guitarist there? Also, why did the Business switch to a 4-piece lineup later on?
@@theevildrummingsithlord1492
They started as 4 piece in 1979 with Kent on guitar, in 1983 the line up changed (but always as 4 piece) and Steve Whale was the guitarist. In late 80s Kent went back as lead guitar.
@@stinkytrouble Ah I see. Thanks! I'm still rather new to the Business; need to check out more songs by them. Which ones do you recommend?
@@theevildrummingsithlord1492
It depends on your tastes, check out all their stuff from the origins till 1989 😊
1988. it's even written in the bloody video....
Top tune
Best time 🎉
Good oi lads
Miss u micky
With condemned 84
There's a Skinhead zine I saw called Suburban Rebels. I don't think the writer read the lyrics to this song before he named his zine after it :D
Chino Bleezy ~ Yeah,
We used to do a Proper Skinzine Called =
“England’s Glory”
Please explain what you mean about the lyrics my friend ? ?
Glory
So fucking good
Am I bugging but I remember hearing this live version before 88…if not was there another live version of this song before 88❓🤔
Seen The Business in 82 in Skunks
London main event 1988 (not 1982)
@David Erlstoke
Sorry David but Adicts and Misfits didn't play.
@David Erlstoke
I was just saying ..Yes, Ian Stuart and friends tried to boycott the upstarts gig.
@David Erlstoke
Exactly, the other one was in 1992 😊
@@stinkytrouble Skrewdriver was better than angelic Upstarts anyway.
Correct. Astoria 1988
❤
They were here on São Paulo some years ago! I stayed myself in front of Gig with only $R100 on my pocket and ticket was $120!!! And almost got beaten on the street by another gang hahahaha old stories....
Porra! Kkkkkkkk.... xD
wow so sad first Street rock i got into from college radio been addicted since long live the Business....RIP Micky...
Harish the Business are not Street Rock but Skinhead.
@@jamesmcnellis7457 Micky said in an interview that they were street rock and roll its all good i see your point too
street rock don't talk fuck'in bollocks....is that why 99% at the Business gigs were FUCK'IN SKINHEAD'S. street rock....? I've never known the Business to do street gigs..... welcome to a world of nazi political correctness. I know what, why don't we call Elton John the king of heavy metal.
fuck n great song and true old punk and still one at 50
This was @ Tottenham court road?
Ça c'est de la OI!
😍
It’s 1988 at the Astoria
So fucking beautiful
q tristeza no poderlos ver en vivo. Hijo de puta tristeza.
Aguante Mickey!
:-(
R.I.P Fitz
this was not in the uk , this was in montreal at the spectrum on st-catherine downtown , at 1:51 mark he says "oh Canada" .
Correct. Mickey also screems Montreal! At about 45seconds in the vid
Mon frère était a ce show
While I can't speak for the video footage, the audio is from their Live&Loud LP. This was recorded at the London Astoria on April 2nd, 1988 (Oi! The Main Event). I've been listening to this LP for over 30 years and "Oh Canada" has always been "All together now!" to me.
Intro sounds a lot like “we can do anything”
Oi!!
Mickey Fitz ,,, legend
スターになんて俺はなりたくね~!楽しいことも毎日続かねぇ~!
🤘😈
WAIT WAIT WAIT , TITLE SAY 1982 , AND IN THE VIDEO 1988 WTF
Rip Micky Fitz
Smash the Discos
ciao mickey r,i,p,
So is the footage 1982 or 1988 ?
Oi! The Event was in 1988,April 2nd at the Astoria, London.
Rip mister micky fitz
Is this 1982 or 1988
As 13+Λk=Love
They still know fuck all about heavy manners
A good dig at the Clash isn’t it.
Anthem.
Esto es en el 87/88. No 1982.
This is not 82, it's the main event which was in about 87-88
Been there... with the great fight with Angelic Upstarts wasn't it? Tottenham Courtroad?
yes mate
@@88Skorz What was that fight all about?
@@theevildrummingsithlord1492
Ian Stuart and his friends tried to boycott the upstarts
@@stinkytrouble Haven't heard of him...best that I stay out of it.
Realy😮l ??? Why you have to explain yourselfe
This is misleading since this vid is NOT from a London gig but from a Montreal , Canada gig... Mick said it 2 times during the song... at 0:45 he says Montreal! And later at around 1:50 " oh canada" and this venue is clearly the spectrum on ste-catherine street
Interesting, as there is matching footage elsewhere on CZcams labelled as "The Main Event". I can't hear any reference to "Montreal" or "Oh Canada" either, all I hear is "Let's hear ya!" and "All together now!".
@@johnnybarden5051 its the main event london 88 and i made the clip at 42 seconds on my way in
The fuck you on?? Cos I want some! 😂
This is not 1982 this is 1988
Business rules ok

Great gig but cops everywhere after, couldn't fart going back to Dalston without Lily Law giving us hag. Wankers!
Fitzy R.I.P. mate,fucking legend.
Oi!...a nie pitu pitu jenny w czy tam booze g
this is REAL Skinhead not Nazl!!
the bussiness are nno punk are homeless
The Macc Lads without the humour.
Or how to turn a big, bald, booted guy into a drooling dog in 2 minutes and 37 seconds
It's well boring.
The best song dismantling the left wing luvvies I ever heard for certain.
Hoy hoy hoy antifascista siempre
Love the business but that crowd looks like a real sausage fest! No thanks...
В 1986 году впервые услышал.Был советским панком
